After being let down by another tour the day before when the pick up bus didn’t turn up and we were subsequently told it had been cancelled , I booked this trip last minute and the instructions were immediately clear for pick up. There were 5 of us on this trip plus our guide Alex who was simply amazing. So knowledgeable, friendly with a great sense of humour. We also had a great group of people and whilst we did not see any Brown Bears the mountains were stunning. I would definitely do this trip again to see the Brown Bears.

Bear with us !!!
Bear with me whilst I write this !! Well what an experience from start to finish. The drive up was spectacular, the scenery breathtaking & didn’t disappoint.
Unfortunately we didn’t see any bears 😩 but we did see 2 donkeys ,1 fox , numerous sheep & lots of dogs 🐕 . The views at the very top of the mountain was worth the long drive.
Alex our guide was outstanding in his knowledge & more important his sense of humour was brilliant. He kept us entertained & informed from start to finish.
Would highly recommend this trip & especially Alex as your guide.
Five stars just for the entertainment.

Underwhelming
Too much time in the car for very underwhelming scenery. It is simply not worth the price. I have gone on a number of excursions with Viator that were excellent, but this one fell far short of my previous experiences. I do not recommend it.

MUST DO!! The famous Top Gear road- named the best in the world.
AMAZING DAY! This is why I came to Romania, to visit this road! Sebastian, our guide/driver was amazing, funny, informative and very great to spend the day with. We got to see 7 bears up close from the van, just an amazing day- couldn't ask for anything more!

Nice tour in the Carpathians
Beautiful and exciting day. Our guide, Bogdan, told us many interesting things along the way and was always very attentive. The Carpathians in this area are very beautiful and we were lucky enough to see five bears. The road is very scenic and this tour is truly worth taking!

Amazing tour

Transfăgărășan with Victor
Víctor was an amazing guide, he taught us a lot about the history of Romania, the history of the bears and the road itself, and always had a great answer for any question we had for him. There are plenty of bears on the road (we saw 9), and Victor explains the proper procedure as to how to safely take pictures and videos of them.

A magnificent, unforgettable moment
We had a great time with a very friendly small group and an excellent guide, "Victor," who knew how to make this day unforgettable!
Furthermore, we were able to admire magnificent landscapes and see at least 9 bears in their natural habitat and up close.
It was fascinating.

Great tour
The road trip was spectacular the views were beautiful indeed.
Our guide Pedro is a smooth driver, very experienced guide with good knowledge on every corner of Romania, also he is truly friendly and positive guy with good heart.
