We had a great time exploring the city seeing many film sites and great scenic spots throughout the city. Aaron is extremely knowledgeable on so many subjects, and lunch was delicious. This tour was a fun way to spend the day whether you’re a LOTR fanatic or just have seen the movies once, you’ll enjoy learning about the history of Tolkien, his work, and the various city film sites.

Aaron was extremely knowledgeable and personable which made learning about each filming location even more exciting. The lunch break was excellent and gave us the opportunity to sample some local craft beer. The WETA workshop was the highlight of the tour and being able to see the actual props and artists from hundreds of movies and TV shows was an incredible experience. There is definitely some walking and some of it across uneven terrain but nothing a healthy adult cannot handle and will give you some unique photo opportunities. This is a must-do if you stop in Wellington and make sure to ask for Aaron.

This was a last minute addition to a wonderful trip to NZ, and so much fun! It was like being a child again, just playing, dressing up and inhabiting a fantasy world brought to life by the costumes and incredible LOTR knowledge of Aaron. If you want (or need) a few hours of escape from today's world (and who doesn't), this is an opportunity not to be missed.

This tour is a MUST do for Lord of the Rings and Hobbit fans. I thought my son and wife knew a lot about the books and movies, but Aaron’s knowledge is unmatched as far as I can tell. He showed us places that they shot many scenes of the movies and had large pictures so we could compare the movie pic to what we were looking at. We were even treated to a very nice lunch. Then the tour capped off with a tour of Weta studios and the Weta Cave, which I found fascinating. This is a great tour for the novice fan (me) or the fan that really loves the books and or movies (my family). Highly recommend.

The private LOTR tour in Wellington with Kosher Tours was the perfect way to spend a day in Wellington! While there are many LOTR tours to choose from, this one is very special and adaptable. Aaron is very fluent in the knowledge of the Tolkien universe and is excited to share that knowledge. With a small tour and vehicle, you can get in close and out easily, as opposed to the busloads that move tourists like cattle. The tour hits some terrific filming spots, as well as plenty of time at the Weta Workshop. The lunch was very good, too. Highly recommended!

Aaron is very knowledgeable and fun. Great tour!! Highly recommended. We were in port for 6 hours, and he was able to schedule an awesome itinerary for us.

My family booked this tour with Aaron while cruising and could not have had a better experience. Aaron picked us up for our private LOTR tour from the port and whisked us off to middle earth! We viewed the filming location of Helm’s Deep and Minas Tirith, wandered the paths of Isengard and Rivendell, and saw the river Anduin carve its path through Middle Earth. The entire time Aaron was providing such amazing commentary on scenes and stories from the Lord of Rings, it felt as if we were getting a tour from Elrond himself! Aaron then coordinated an incredible lunch for us at one of his favorite sports in Wellington where we had a feast fit for a hobbit! The food and drink recommendations Aaron gave were spot on and truly delighted our pallets. After lunch , we made our way to the spots were the hobbits hid from the Ringwraith on their way to Bree and saw some incredible views of the city of Wellington, all while Aaron continued his amazing stories and immersed us in what it was like to be in Wellington while filming occurred. We needed at the Weta Workshop where, before our tour, Aaron talked through some of the incredible sculptures you can see at Weta. Finally, Aaron dropped us off back at the port and we went on our way. My family did not and has not stopped talking about how much fun we had in Middle Earth and Aaron’s knowledge and passion he shared with us. It was a day we will never forget!

We had a wonderful private tour with Aaron who knew everything and anything about Lord of the Rings! Visiting the location for Rivendell was awesome and Hobbit’s Hideway amazing! A lunch was included and Aaron picked an amazing restaurant with delicious food! He was a perfect guide who told us many fun facts about Wellington on our way to and from The WETA Workshop. He even had costumes for us if we wanted to wear them. A great tour!

What an amazing day! Aaron was fantastic…. So knowledgeable and enthusiastic about all things related to Lord of the Rings! Plus, he is quite the New Zealand historian too…we learned so much! So many little extras too….NZ chocolates, fabulous lunch, cable car and wine shopping! Highly recommend Aaron for this awesome tour! Kathy Joyce
