We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Justin showed the meaning of true chinese hospitality and kindness along with a great knowlegde of history and culture. Even outside the tours we could also count on his help.

Lena was an excellent guide full of interesting information. She was extremely helpful and catered all the stops to my interests. I would highly recommend bother and this tour.

We had such a great experience with Adam! He was very attentive, knowledgeable, and made everything so smooth and easy for us. Having him take care of the logistics made a huge difference — otherwise I would have been stressed trying to arrange everything and figure things out on my own. I honestly don’t think we would have had the same experience without him. What I appreciated most was how much history and context Adam shared with us along the way. We weren’t just walking around looking at beautiful buildings and taking pictures — he helped us understand the history, the stories behind the places, and why they were significant. It made everything we saw so much more interesting and meaningful. He was also very thoughtful and attentive throughout the day, and we always felt comfortable and well taken care of. We really enjoyed spending time with him and would absolutely recommend Adam and Catherine Lu Tours to anyone visiting Beijing. He made our trip easier, more interesting, and much more memorable!

Catherine Lu Tours and our guide James were excellent. James was extremely knowledgeable and more particularly, he steered us past the 2 hour queues to maximise our experience.

We had a fantastic experience on our 2-day tour with Catherine Lu tours! Lena, our tour guide, was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and flexible. Communication was easy and having a private driver was very helpful. The sites were absolutely incredible! We’d highly recommend booking this tour!

The tour was very well organised - Catherine and team helped me pick the best sights to see and put together an itinerary. Over the course of 3 days, I saw the Tianmen Square and Forbidden City, The Great Wall, Summer Palace and Temple of Heaven. Everything went smoothly and was well planned, including transport. Jenny the guide was knowledgeable and provided good background on all the sights. She also recommended good restautants and I tried typical dishes at places locals go to, and sorted tickets for an acrobatic show. The driver was also helpful and even took a small detour to stop at the Olympic Stadium for me to take photos.

Overall it was a great experience, both guides, Jack and Sandy were very helpful, flexible, supportive, and gave a lot of information. The cycling with Jack was especially fun. A small note to the organizers. The lunch stop at Mutianyu with the buffet lunch was not particularly good. I would strongly recommend to replace it with something else for small groups. There is so much better food to eat in China.

Our guide Bill was very knowledgeable about Beijing, The Great Wall and China generally. The pick-ups were prompt, with clear explanations of what to expect, flexibility in plans based on our group’s needs, and a friendly professional nature. We’d certainly recommend this tour.

The guides, James and Justin, were fantastic and knowledgeable . Command of English was good. Driver Lee was also responsible and a safe driver .

With Catherine Lu, we had one of the best contacts we have ever had while traveling. All the guides were excellent, friendly, super informed, and very likable as people. We were with Catherine Lu at the Terracotta Army (epic, absolutely magnificent!), at the Great Wall of China, in the Forbidden City, at the Lama Temple, at the Summer Palace, at a market, at the Drum Tower, and we could not be more satisfied, simply great! The communication was great, which is essential, especially in China. We used a mix of WhatsApp (yes, it works) and WeChat and thus always had a backup channel. The response speed to questions was, regardless of the time of day or night, within a few minutes.
