Family trip to Beijing. Wife's first time so decided on a private tour for 2 days to see the highlights, the Forbidden City, Great Wall, Temple of Heaven and Summer Palace. Our guide was Kathy who meet us at our hotel and worked with us on our needs. We were off at 830am on our first day to see Tiananmen Square and then the Forbidden City. Kathy was full of information as we walked and helped take pictures of our famiy. We visited and climbed Jingshan Park to take pics of the city. We had a great lunch and went to visit the Temple of Heaven. At that point, Beijing was very warm and we decided to just head back to the hotel so the driver picked us up and we got back early. Next day Kathy came and we headed to the Great Wall. It was very crowded so we decided to just take the lift up and down (the skylift and toboggan lines were crazy). The Great Wall was probably a highlight of our trip. We spent a great deal of time hiking up. After the Wall, we went and had another great lunch. Then off to the Summer Palace where we had time to walk through the park. When we were done, we were dropped out at our hotel. We had a great time in Beijing and the tour was just the right amout of time for our family. Thanks Kathy and Catherine Lu for helping us arrange everything.

A fantastic two day Beijing tour with Angel and Mr Lu. Insightful commentary on culture and history from Angel with an excellent driver Mr Lu. If you are time pressed they are your tribe.

We travelled from Northern Ireland to Beijing on 9th June 2026. We booked a two day tour directly through Catherine Lu Tours. We were blown away by the amazing service we received. A representative from Catherine Lu tours contacted us frequently via email and then through WeChat to arrange pick up at the hotel. Jenny was our assigned tour guide. Jenny was so friendly, spoke perfect English, and was very knowledgeable. A guide is a must do in China. If I ever travelled back to China I wouldn’t use any other company and would love to have Jenny as a guide again!.

Everything is excellent. The guide was professional, kind, and helpful. Similarly, the driver had an extremely elegant and comfortable vehicle. I would recommend it to fully enjoy Beijing and the Great Wall.

Having done alot of research Catherine Lu tours kept coming up as highly recommended online. We had a tour of 4. ( 2 couples) I sent an email directly and booked everything in with them before our trip . It couldn't have been easier to liaise with them and they were upfront about their costs and what was included. We then met our Tour guide Jenny, she was amazing from start to finish, Jenny was friendly and provided a real good insight into chinese life and was also knowledgeable of various historical facts about the sights we visited. She was very friendly and keen to chat with us about our travels and made our 2 day tour trip flow perfectly and even gave some of her own reccommendations for the rest of our trip. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend her or request her company again if we ever return. The two whole days were covered expertly and well organised . Don't hesitate to book if your considering it, professional, friendly and an enjoyable experience overall .
