What I signed up for was a 10 tastings in Venice. But the tour did not include any of this. I paid for a service that I did not receive. I found it nearly impossible to try to get a partial refund. Don't use trip advisor.

This tour is a must if you like food. It’s such a unique way of seeing Venice. Claudia, our guide, was wonderful. She walked us round like a long lost friend and took us for the most delicious food, all the time explaining its origin and giving us deeper insight into gastronomic Venice. We went to places we might not have known about or tried and all of the food was excellent. Thank you, Claudia! You’re a legend.

What a great way to discover not only the food, but learn about the culture, neighborhoods and landmarks. Our guide, Marina, was simply the best! Thanks for making our Venice trip so memorable.

I booked this tour expecting a nice food walk, but thanks to Genny, it turned into a major highlight of my trip. The best way I can describe it is that it felt like an episode of an Anthony Bourdain show. Genny is a brilliant conversationalist who uses food as a gateway to understanding the soul of Venice. She used the tastings as an icebreaker, but the real substance was the deep dive into the history, language, and unique culture of the Venetian people, and how distinct this city truly is from the rest of Italy. As an American whose knowledge of Italy was mostly limited to Rome and Florence, I realized I was missing a lot of context. Genny filled in the gaps that my standard tour group completely missed. What makes Genny an exceptional guide, especially for Americans, is that she has lived in the United States. She can perfectly articulate the subtle cultural and social differences in a way that is relatable, insightful, and fascinating. The highlight was seeing her genuine connection to the community. We didn't just stop for gelato; we had an organic, lengthy conversation with the owner about his recent travels to Asia. It was a moment that felt authentic and unscripted—something you could never get on a large group tour; it felt like hanging out with a local friend who knows everyone in town. If you want a guide who offers deep cultural insight rather than just a checklist of sights, you need to book with Genny. Highly recommended!

Our guide Marina made this tour the most amazing experience. She took us to the places that the locals frequent making it an authentic experience. My 15yr old son even had a great time, and you know how hard it is to make teenagers happy!!! She was knowledgeable, engaging, and just a great guide all the way around. It was like sightseeing with an old friend who lives locally. Would recommend this tour 1000%. Thanks again Marina!!!! We left with our bellies and hearts full!

Great tour with lots of food and drink. our guide Alessandra was incredibly passionate about Venetian food and taught us about it with every stop!

We booked multiple tours while visiting Venice and this tour was our favorite. Genny was entertaining and knew all the great food spots. We thoroughly enjoyed touring with her and tasting all the local delicacies and wine pairings.

Fortunato had a lot of knowledge on Venice and was very nice. It was a great tour with lots of walking and some food. We wanted to try one specific food and he didn’t let us leave without trying it. Super nice and thoughtful.
