Our family loved our visit to this world heritage site with Owen of Newgrange Tours. It was an amazing experience to visit one of the oldest human building sites in the world (older than the Pyramids!) So easy to access from Dublin. Newgrange Tours made everything easy — including buying the hard to get tickets ahead so we didn’t have to worry about securing (you can only buy 30 days ahead and they sell out immediately). Our guide, Owen was lovely - the best of Irish hospitality. He also has a beautiful touring car that was well appointed and very luxurious and comfortable. We also really enjoyed Owen’s insights and historical knowledge that he shared on the easy one hour drive from Dublin and back. We learned so much from Owen and the tours! Don’t miss this if you are in the Dublin area.
This was the best experience we had during our entire visit to Ireland. Owen is an expert tour guide and conversationalist; we found ourselves learning more about Irish history and culture than we could've imagined. The tour itself is so well thought out and planned, that you have a full day of experiences without ever feeling rushed or over-scheduled. I recommend this tour (and Owen specifically), with full confidence that you will have a wonderful time.

Owen was an amazing guide for an absolutely fantastic journey through Ireland’s past. I love ancient made-made wonders, castles, and just understanding the history that helped to form the people of today - and this was the perfect tour for me, especially due to Owen. He always had a story to tell to shade light on the past, but also was good with letting me chill when I wanted (introvert here; I need my quiet time to relax and reflect). Most importantly as a guide he was prompt, attentive, pivoted when needed (unexpected hail storm), and full of knowledge and positive energy.
Our guide (Owen) was the perfect traveling companion! He was both friendly and knowledgeable. While I had considered going on a cheaper, group tour bus, I'm incredibly glad I did this private tour instead. It was by far and away the best investment I made for my trip to Ireland. Owen went above and beyond even on the little things, like finding a good spot for lunch. He shared trivia on some of the areas we passed through as well as his some of his personal stories. It felt like we were being shown around by an old friend. I cannot recommend Owen highly enough!
Traveling with Owen is sheer joy! We had a medical emergency that changed our plan, and Owen stepped to help us and to salvage the trip. Delightful and informative trip to county Meath and Newgrange. Highly recommend!
