I’ve done this snorkeling excursion before and had a fantastic experience, which is why this trip was so disappointing by comparison. On my previous tour, the guide stayed aware of the entire group, checked on slower swimmers, and made sure nobody was left behind. The captain also actively patrolled the water from the boat, which made the experience feel much safer and more organized. This time was completely different. At the very first stop, several guests in the group were swimming with no awareness of personal space. People were splashing, kicking, and swimming directly into others. I was kicked and hit multiple times. Before the second stop, I politely asked the guide to remind guests to be mindful of distance and space in the water because it had already become unsafe. He acknowledged it, but said nothing. At the turtle stop, the guide swam far ahead chasing turtles at a very fast pace while the group stretched out behind him. The currents were strong, visibility and communication were difficult, and there was very little attention paid to whether everyone was keeping up safely. Also there are other tour boats coming in so there aren’t just 10 ish people in the water, there are much more which makes it hard to keep track of your guide and group especially in choppy water. I repeatedly lost sight of the guide, his co-guide, and photographer as I tried to catch up. I’m no Michael Phelps. By the time I reached where the guide pointed out turtles, the group had already moved on and so have the turtles. What should have been an enjoyable experience became stressful and overwhelming. At one point I was far from both the group and the boat in strong current, struggling to keep up and genuinely feeling unseen and unsupported in the water. I did have a life vest so that was fine but nobody saw me. I was so far from the boat it felt like it took me six business days to swim to it. I was tired and absolutely pissed! I understand ocean conditions can vary and wildlife sightings are never guaranteed, but group awareness and safety absolutely should be. Compared to my previous experience with this company, this tour lacked organization, communication, and attentiveness to guests who were not the fastest swimmers in the group. I hope this feedback is taken seriously because this excursion can be amazing when led properly.

We had a wonderful experience on Total Snorkel’s 5 in 1 tour. Our driver arrived at our hotel on time and from that moment on everything went perfectly. Our group was a total of 10 including my family of 5. Our tour guide, Maurice, was fantastic. The 5 stops were all unique and interesting. We saw lots of different sea life and Maurice was great at pointing things out and keeping us all together! Our captain, Juanito, made sure we were never far from the boat! I highly recommend this tour and would consider booking another next time we are in Cancun.

Very good experience - we saw millions of fish and even some sea turtles!

BE VERY CAREFUL. Booked at 1:10pm for 3pm tour. After it was confirmed I was immediately told that I’d missed the hotel pickup and there was no way of getting there on time. It also turned out the time on the ad was wrong and it started at 2:30pm not 3pm. Anyway they’ve refused to take any responsibility and refused to give me a refund

We had a fantastic day out snorkeling. Our captain Emilio was funny and knowledgeable. Highly recommended!

We had a great trip with Daisy. Our ship captain was great too. We stopped at the cenote which is super cool to see all the fish just hanging around near the fresh water coming in to the ocean. The reef stop was amazing - lots of sea life, and again, fish just hanging around coral outcrops. We quickly found a sea turtle at the seagrass stop. He was very chill and just interested in eating his lunch which we all checked him out. The shipwreck was also cool - swimming with the fish who around the ship. I only have one thing I was dissatisfied with and it has to do with the organization of the trip by the operator. We booked this trip because it was short, we got to see a lot of things, but then we also had time to do other things during the day and sleep in since we're on vacation. We booked for 12pm excursion, however our pickup time was set to 935am. We were told it was because we were far away at the hotel zone and needed to be at the marina by 11am. Well, we were at the marina by 10:30am and then were sitting around for over an hour. Another group joined us 15 minutes before departure. Not sure why they couldn't organize our pickup an hour later like that group. I've seen other reviews highlighting this issue with the operator. Hopefully they figure out how to fix it as it's not pleasant to spend one's vacation sitting around waiting unnecessarily.

The location was perfect and easy to get too. We were only in our transportation for about 15 min each way All of the staff was amazing. Our tour guide KiKi and barracuda our driver were very polite and knowledgeable. The best part was the underwater videographer. She was amazing capturing the entire day. It was well worth the 60 dollars for the pictures. Super happy for the entire experience. Highly recommend.

We had an amazing time! The tour was the perfect length—about 2-2.5 hours. Charlie,our captain, was so helpful and fun and Marsay (spelling?), our leader, did such a great job looking out for us and guiding us to the best spots. We saw beautiful fish, 2 turtles, and stunning turquoise water. I would highly recommend this company and this tour for families!

I loved this excursion. I felt safe and made friends on my snorkeling trip. My only wish was that I received more information on what I was seeing. I was curious about the underwater statues and the different fish we saw. Our guide showed us quite a nice variety and spoke in only Spanish. Charlie, our captain was funny and shared his knowledge. It was definitely worth it!

I made a booking for this excursion, but also connected with the tour operator over WhatsApp. Despite being able to book - AND PAY - for the excursion via Viator, the excursion was sold out. Not really the operators' problem, but why was I able to book a tour if it was actually unavailable? The tour operator encouraged me to book again for Wednesday, despite me communicating that I would be leaving the next day. Thankfully, I had a great Viator customer service rep who started my refund process ASAP.
