This trip was exactly what I needed to cleanse my mind. After the hustle and bustle of Hanoi, Ha Long Bay felt like a complete escape. The stillness of the water and the quietness of the surroundings gave me room for reflection. Ninh Binh surprised me in another way. Not only was it beautiful, but it felt untouched, as if we were transported back in time. We then arrived in Sapa for a whole new experience. Hiking in the mountains and meeting the local villagers gave me a deeper exposure to their way of life. It was very refreshing.
