Novi was an excellent recommendation, we were looking for a cooking class that could handle dietary restrictions like gluten free and vegetarian and allergies and this was an excellent experience! She thoughtfully curated a menu for us and doubled checked all the ingredients would be safe. The food was absolutely delicious and we learned some cool new techniques too!

Such a lovely experience. Novi and her helpers were so organised. We agreed on the menu the day before. It was wonderful and I highly recommend.

Novi hosted an amazing day of cooking in her wonderful kitchen. We cooked three dishes, jukut urab, Balinese chicken curry and sate lillit fish. Novi explained everything perfectly whilst making the whole experience fun and exciting. We were fed well with our dishes at the end and were absolutely stuffed! I would highly recommend this if you are looking to learn how to cook a new cuisine. Terima kasih Novi, we loved meeting you and cooking with you!

This was a personalized local cooking class. She was able to work around my shrimp allergy. We had so much fun learning how to cook the local cuisine. AND...the food was delicious! It was truly a hands-on experience!

What a wonderful introduction to Balinese cuisine! Novi is so knowledgeable and a sheer delight! I learned so much yet it was so relaxed. I enjoyed cooking it with Novi so much I forgot that I got to eat it all at the end. What a banquet! Highly recommended.

What a fabulous experience ! Novi is so genuinely lovely and kind, and makes you feel so welcome. Her assistants were just as friendly and welcoming. I have been cooking for 50 yrs, but still learnt some new techniques. The quality of the ingredients was first class, with fresh market vegetables. The recipes were well taught, I even think I can manage this at home, with the help of the take away recipe sheets. There was so much food, I could only eat a little of it!. Absolutely delicious, can’t believe I cooked it myself ! Novi and her team packed it all carefully so I could bring it back to enjoy with my husband for dinner later. My mother and I reached out to Novi after seeing her cooking videos on YouTube (check out Novi’s Bali Kitchen channel!) Learning Balinese cooking from Novi turned out to be one of the best experiences we have ever had on holiday or in Bali - she is such a warm and kind presence and the food we made with her was so unbelievably delicious we still think about it now! Novi's Bali Kitchen cooking class was a wonderful experience. If you would like to learn how to cook genuine Balinese cuisine then this is the place to go. Novi invites you into her gorgeous outdoor (covered) kitchen and teaches you everything you need during the hands on cooking class. Then to sit down to the delicious meal and the end was an absolute treat. I have done many cooking classes all over the world and can honestly say this was the most true to culture class I have taken. Thank you Novi.

We loved every minute of our cooking class with Mbok Novi. She tailored the class to our special requests and is wonderfully knowledgeable about Balinese cooking and even the small regional differences. My husband and I felt so very welcome by her hospitality and kindness. She went into depth about the reasons for using different oils at different times and how the traditional herbs and spices create flavour.
