We were greeted by a very friendly Peter right outside the cruise port. I didn’t know what to expect, a mini bus for 2? I was wrong, there were about 30 of us and it was all just brilliant. We hopped into a proper coach and off we go. Peter our tour guide was a local and was so informative, a real people person, interacting with us, with his extensive knowledge and his stories, Monks, Devils the lot! An extremely good trip, thoroughly enjoyed it. At the end you are given a couple of options of when you’d like to catch a ride back to the ship, around 1.5 hours of free time. One option slightly less, the other slightly more. You don’t have to though if you want to make your own way back.. We then met another nice chap who escorted us to a coach and back to our ship. Thank you 😊
We found it confusing to find the meeting point. The listed address took us to a different location on Google Maps than we were supposed to meet, and when we walked through the meeting spot en route to the posted address there was no one holding the sign we were supposed to be looking for. Also, the phone number to call for help was in Greece, and no one answered. We instead heard a message in Greek and then it hung up. The description of the tour also emphasized the bus element and the driver, so we expected that the tour was primarily in a bus when really it is primarily a walking tour. The tour also left the meeting spot—once we finally found it—about an hour after the starting time. The walking tour itself was great. But it was a confusing process to get started and didn’t match our expectations, based on the tour description.

We booked this as a group of friends and thought it was one of the better organized excursions during our Baltic cruise. The transportation was comfortable, and the guide shared helpful local information without dominating the entire experience. Tallinn’s historic center was beautiful to walk through, especially the smaller streets away from the busiest tourist areas. We appreciated that there was enough free time to explore independently and enjoy the atmosphere naturally. The overall experience felt relaxed and well balanced rather than rushed from stop to stop.
The views from the Kohtuotsa platform are stunning for photos but my god the cobblestone streets are brutal on your feet. Still a great way to see the highlights of you have limited time.
A few of us joined this tour during our cruise stop and really enjoyed how organized yet relaxed the experience felt. The meeting point was easy to locate after leaving the ship, and everything stayed on schedule throughout the day. Tallinn’s Old Town was definitely the highlight. The streets, churches, and historic buildings made the city feel very different from other cruise stops we visited. We liked that there was enough free time to wander independently, grab coffee, and take photos without constantly moving with the group. The five-hour length also felt ideal—not too short, but not exhausting either. Overall, it was a smooth and enjoyable excursion.
This tour worked very well for our family because it balanced sightseeing with enough flexibility to keep everyone comfortable. The city itself was easy to walk around, and the guide kept the explanations interesting without making things feel too formal. We especially enjoyed the Old Town area, where there were many opportunities for photos and short breaks. The pace felt manageable even for older family members. Returning to the cruise port was smooth and well timed, which helped make the entire day feel stress free.

My partner and I booked this tour because we wanted an easy way to see Tallinn without worrying about transportation or timing back to the cruise ship. The experience turned out to be very comfortable and well paced. The Old Town was charming and easy to explore on foot, with beautiful architecture and quiet side streets. We especially enjoyed having some independent time to simply walk around and enjoy the atmosphere together. The guide provided useful historical background without overwhelming the group with too much information. It felt balanced and relaxed throughout the day.
As a solo traveler, I appreciated how straightforward this tour was from start to finish. The instructions for meeting near the cruise port were clear, and the schedule remained organized throughout the excursion. Tallinn was a very pleasant city to explore, especially the historic center. The tour gave enough structure to feel guided while still allowing free time to walk independently and enjoy the city at my own pace. I also appreciated that the pace wasn’t rushed. There was enough time to take photos, stop briefly at cafés, and simply enjoy the atmosphere without constantly watching the clock.
