Great overview of Santorini for people with limited time in the city. Our guide Alex was wonderful, knowledgeable, and attentive to all participants.

Our guide Alex was great and we loved all of the stops, especially the last two! The small village Megalochiro was really nice. I wish we had more time to spend in a few of the local shops. And the last stop for lunch and the black sand beach were great! The seafood at the restaurant was fantastic! I highly recommend this tour and Alex as your guide if possible to request!

Our group included different types of travelers, and everyone wanted something slightly different from the day. Some wanted photographs, some were interested in history, and others mainly wanted to enjoy the scenery. Thankfully, the tour gave us a good mixture of everything. The skip-the-line access was particularly useful because the cable car queues were already long. Instead of losing valuable time at the port, we were able to get on with the sightseeing. We saw the classic Santorini villages with their whitewashed buildings and blue domes, enjoyed several beautiful viewpoints, and also visited areas with volcanic landscapes and beaches. The guide gave us useful background about the island without turning every stop into a long lecture. What we liked most was that the experience felt manageable within a cruise schedule. We didn't have to constantly check the time or worry about how to get from one place to another. By the end of the five hours, everyone in our group felt that we had seen a good variety of Santorini. It was a smooth, enjoyable day and a memorable part of our cruise.

Great tour to take for a cruiser! We were able to see most of Santorini in just a short time. Our guide and driver were great! We had plenty of time to wonder around Oia and get pictures!

This review reflects the combined opinions of the four individuals who were scheduled for the 9:00 tour on September 14, 2026. This tour was cancelled due to the limited number of paid attendees, however, we weren’t aware until we arrived at the dock at 8:30, due to the fact that the four of us had no signal until we were in/near land. We were not given the option to cancel the tour for a refund, which would have been preferable. Instead, we were added to the 10:00 tour. That meant we were required to stand for an additional 60 minutes in a very crowd environment. Forget Skip the Sky Tram line, we were surrounded by the line. Also, the instructions for the meeting place were unclear because we were informed to meet by the palm trees, although there were palm trees at opposite ends of the extremely crowded dock. When the first tour guide Alex arrived he had difficulty locating the additional 14 people from the 10:00 group because they were also confused where to meet the tour guide. Alex became extremely frustrated as though this was their fault. While leading us to the pickup location because the dock was very crowded our combined group became separated and Alex had to backtrack to retrieve them. Next, when we were on our assigned vans we met Daniel our new tour guide. First impression is that we were happy that he was a very friendly American, and there would be no language difficulties. The second impression is that his appearance was disheveled and unprofessional looking. Additionally, Daniel spent a LOT of time talking about his family, and talking to shopkeepers, friends, and other tour guides, instead of providing more of the Santorini information we were eager to learn. In summary, I feel that this tour was handled poorly and I’d expect Viator to compensate us for the mismanagement of what should have been an enjoyable experience. I have received a text message from the tour operator requesting a review, to whom I have not responded. We had an amazing time on this tour and would definitely recommend it! Our tour guide was fantastic—extremely knowledgeable and genuinely seemed to have an answer for every question we asked. You could tell they really knew Santorini and its history. Our driver was also great, the bus was very clean and comfortable, and the boat ride was easy and well organized. Everything ran on time throughout the entire tour, which we really appreciated, especially since we were visiting Santorini on a cruise. All of the stops were beautiful and perfect for photos, and we felt like we got to see so much of the island without ever feeling disorganized or rushed. One thing we especially appreciated was the flexibility at the end of the tour. Our guide gave us the choice of either going back with the group or staying in town longer and making our own way back to the cruise ship. We chose to stay so we could walk around, explore, and enjoy more of Santorini. Getting back to the ship afterward was extremely easy, so we were really happy we had that option. The only thing I would suggest changing is having the guide make it clear at the beginning that guests should return to the same seats on the bus after each stop. Most of the other guests were traveling together as one large group, and some members of their group kept switching seats every time we got back on the bus. Twice, this resulted in my husband and me not being able to sit together. When you’re traveling as a couple and booked the tour together, it’s frustrating to have to sit separately simply because other guests keep changing seats. A quick announcement at the beginning asking everyone to keep their original seats throughout the tour would completely solve the issue and make things more comfortable and fair for everyone. Other than that small issue, the tour was excellent. Great guide, great driver, beautiful stops, clean transportation, amazing photo opportunities, everything running on time, and the flexibility to stay and explore longer at the end. We had a wonderful day in Santorini and would absolutely recommend this tour!

A few friends and I booked this because we wanted to make the most of our short time in Santorini. Our biggest concern was the cable car situation, since the lines can be very long when several cruise ships are in port. Being able to avoid that wait was probably one of the best parts of the experience. After getting to the top, we spent the day visiting some of the island’s most recognizable places. The white villages, blue domes, narrow streets, and incredible views were exactly what we had hoped to see. Our guide added plenty of information but also gave us space to enjoy ourselves and take pictures. We liked that it wasn't just about rushing from one attraction to another. There was time to appreciate the scenery and get a feel for Santorini. We also enjoyed seeing some of the volcanic beaches and learning more about the island's unusual landscape. For a group of friends on a cruise, this was a relaxed and convenient way to see a lot in a limited amount of time.

A great tour of Santorini and here to skip the tram. Our guide Alex and driver Odi were fantastic and got us around perfectly. Alex was friendly, funny, and very knowledgeable. Pick up at the port was easy and a great way to get around the crowds. Their smaller vans go places that larger busses can’t. Would absolutely recommend to see a big swath of the island in half a day.

My partner and I had been looking forward to Santorini for months, so we really wanted to make sure our short cruise stop wasn't wasted in queues. The cable car line looked quite intimidating, and we were very happy that we had arranged a way to bypass the waiting time. The tour gave us a nice introduction to the island. We saw the famous whitewashed buildings, blue domes, beautiful viewpoints, and some of the volcanic scenery that makes Santorini so different. There were plenty of opportunities for photos, but we also had time simply to enjoy being there. Our guide was friendly and informative without overwhelming us with information. We learned interesting things about Santorini's history and volcanic origins that we probably wouldn't have discovered by exploring completely on our own. The five-hour format worked very well for our cruise schedule. We came away feeling that we had actually experienced Santorini rather than just seeing it from a bus window. A very enjoyable day together.
