Our cruise had Santorini on the itinerary and I had heard about the crowds on the island and using the cable car (not free) which had terribly long queues and waits to access some of the best points of interest. If not that, there would be the option of walking up a long winding hill alongside those who chose to ride on donkeys. Well, none of these options suited our group, so we felt very fortunate to find the option to go by boat and coach bus to see the best sites on Santorini. We were so incredibly fortunate to have Alex as our guide. He was a fun, charismatic, knowledgeable gentleman and we were thoroughly entertained - by the end of the trip, we felt like he was a friend. Everything was perfect!

The tour guide and driver were excellent. They did a great job showing interesting parts of the island and explaining the history and facts of the area.

Our tour guide, Zeus, was incredibly knowledgeable and we had fun on the tour. In hindsight, the tour was just too jampacked for the time we had in the island, with our cruise ship’s last tender at 4pm. Everything felt a little rushed and we had a good amount of anxiety on getting back in time (the tour guides were great, had it perfectly planned, but the timing was uncomfortable for us). They do a really comprehensive tour and try to get everything in, but next time we would probably just get off our ship earlier and focus on 1 or 2 experiences.

We actually didn’t skip the cable car line. Due to the port authorities suspending small boat traffic, we were forced to take the cable car last minute. Luckily, there was only our ship in port, so line moved rather quickly. Once up top, we waited to start tour-little chaotic, but in the end the tour was great! Lots of stops, great history, and our lunch at the black beach at restaurant Forty One was delicious with beautiful view. The gyro tacos were SO good! We were reimbursed the cable car fare before departing. We’d recommend this tour. It was kind of nice to experience the cable cars…..short line and nice weather.

This excursion is great for people who are afraid of heights or want to skip the long line at the cable car. The stairs and donkeys were closed because of a mud slide so we were extra glad for our excursion. You take a ferry to a nearby port and then buses up the mountain. We stopped to take pictures at the overlooks and stopped to shop at Oia. Our guide Zeus was great. The only downside was that we had signed up for the afternoon trip so we could see the sunset on the beach and they changed us to an earlier excursion. We ended up viewing the sunset out the bus window but it was still beautiful.

Able to visit a lot during my cruise stop in Santorini; wonderful tour guide, Victor. Able to avoid cable car/stairs too! Highly recommend.

This santorini tour was excellent. Tour Guide Alex and driver Syros (?) were exceptional. Alex was extremely knowledgeable about the island but his love of the island really came through Highly recommend

Excellent tour guide was Victor very informative very friendly very knowledgeable thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience not sure it would have been as great with any other tour guide other than Victor hooray

Zeus and Angello were so great. Zeus told great facts and stories about the island and villages. He was so down to earth and funny. Angello was a terrific driver! Loved this excursion.

Our guide, Alex, brought this tour to life. A local who brings personal knowledge of local culture and history to this tour added to the overall historical perspective of art and culture. Aided by a very trustworthy driver Memo, we do not hesitate to recommend this tour. As an aside, the seaside lunch was great!
