A food tour is my go to experience for a first day arrival in Rome after a long flight and time change adjustment. We met our guide, Tina, at 4:30 and for the next few hours she taught us about the details and standards of Italian food, including the UNESCO designation and offered us samples of a variety of foods and wines throughout the Prati neighborhood. There were many stories and laughter along the way with the seven people in our tour group. It was a splendid way to spend the evening!
The whole experience was absolutely incredible. Vincenzo was extremely knowledgeable and informative, and walked us through every ingredient and where it came from. The food was delicious, and made even more so when we understood how it was made and where it came from
When it comes to food tours, this was the best culinary experience we have had so far in any country. The food and wine were really high end, starting with the aperitifos, which included different types of truffle items and 30 year basaltic vinegar. The stop for pizza had 4 different types for us to try at a place we’re locals go to get their pizza fix, and the dinner was at a restaurant with 2 courses. Finally dessert was at a top gelato place. 4 bottles of wine later and we were both tipsy and satiated. Chiara(sp) was an incredibly knowledgeable guide. This tour was all about the food…great facts, history, and culture.

The Prati neighborhood was such a delight! Tina, our guide, was outstanding in every way. She was knowledgeable, funny, and personable. She made sure that each of us felt included and I thoroughly enjoyed talking to her about what it's like to live in Rome compared to other cities and got some insights about things that weren't even part of the package, like Italian literature. Go on an empty stomach or at least plan for a long walk after you're done. There is way more food than you can possibly imagine!
Michael was amazing and very knowledgeable about his subject. We got to sample varied aspects of Roman food, including history of each. The wine was amazing. We also got to explore an authentic Roman market. Highly recommended!
Our food tour was excellent. Our guide was great, and she really engaged the kids in our group. One of the adults in our party needed a slower walking pace and she accommodated beautifully. The highlight of the tour was different for everyone, so we saw that as a plus!
Wonderful first night in Rome on the Prati Food Tour. Giordano was an excellent guide. He shared vast and interesting information on the history of the food we were eating and the wine we were drinking. The small group of 15 was extremely fun and intimate and we chatted and laughed all evening long. The charcuterie, pizza and pastas we ate were all excellent and there was an abundant amount of food and wine throughout the evening. I would definitely recommend this tour with Giordano as your guide!
This was a wonderful tour! Our guide, Vincenzo was kind, knowledgeable, and easy going! Come hungry as you taste a lot of food!! Highly recommend!
Giordano was absolutely amazing, from his jokes to knowledge, he kept the tour fun. We had plenty of amazing food and wine. Definitely worth every dollar and wouldn’t ask for a better tour guide
