A fantastic experience. We were sceptical if the airplane will be good but we were really surprised. We went over so many different reefs with spectacular views. Although our first flight was cancelled due to weather they were kind enough to book on a day and tour of our choice. Extremely gracious company giving us update on the status of weather and finally took us on a fabulous ride. Special thanks to all the staff of Great Barrier Reef scenic flights

Had an awesome experience with Daintree Air Services - all the staff were super helpful, happy and informative! What an incredible sightseeing experience - our pilot Cameron was great fun and very knowledgeable! We were lucky with air traffic being busy - so had extra time in the sky! On landing Cameron and the other pilot in our group Charlie were great taking photos for us all - even including my husband who didn’t fly!
It was amazing, polite was very informative about what and where we were flying over and had humour as well, well worth doing an experience you won’t forget

Fun and a great experience. I wanted to see the Great Barrier Reef but not wanting to go in the water and this was ideal. Owen the pilot was excellent, educated us through the whole tour. He spotted a whale for us to see, when whale season was over. Money well spent.

Our airplane tour over the Great Barrier Reef was a fantastic experience! The entire crew was personable & efficient. Our pilot, Jake, was great! He provided us a comfortable flight and shared information about the reef and its surrounding areas. The sunny day made the colors so vibrant! Seeing the reef from above really gave us an appreciation for its beauty and vastness. We couldn't have asked for a better way to see this natural wonder than from the air!
I always try to plan carefully my activities during the trips and definitely it was just right to start exploring Great Barrier Reef from the sky to get the full scale view of this natural wonder before cruising! I was hesitating whether to take a helicopter or a plane and finally made a decision towards Daintree Air Services 40 minutes scenic flight. Departures are from Aeroglen, actually just around the corner from Cairns airport, or just about 10 minutes ride from Cairns city center. In my case it became the very first activity right after arriving to Cairns airport, the very first page of this exiting Great Barrier Reef journey! A decent long enough flight with live commentary on board was a wonderful way to discover the Reef, Green Island, Fitzroy Island, which I am planning to visit next. Breathtaking views, almost private jet, well organized activities, professional and handsome pilots! As a practical tip, a transfer to/from Cairns city center or airport can be provided for a very reasonable price.
The whole team was really great and very accommodating. The weather was not cooperating at the start, but they offered us several solutions to reschedule our flight in order to take advantage of better conditions. Shuttles were also available, which was very convenient. We were finally able to do the excursion when the weather was more favorable and it was really worth the wait: the landscapes seen from the sky were magnificent! The pilot was very kind and took the time to explain many things to us throughout the flight. As a bonus, we even had the chance to spot whales, manta rays, and other marine animals from the air. A magnificent experience that I highly recommend!
