That said, we are truly sorry to read that some parts of the experience did not meet expectations. You are absolutely right that optional activities such as Sandwich Harbour should be communicated clearly in advance wherever possible, so guests can budget properly and make informed choices before departure. We appreciate you raising this, and we are using your feedback to improve how optional add-on activities are explained to guests before and during the tour. Your comments regarding the dunes activity are especially concerning. We understand that this part of the experience was operated by a third party supplier, but we still take the matter seriously because any activity connected to our guests forms part of their overall travel experience. The behaviour you described does not reflect the standards, values, or guest care we uphold at Chameleon Safaris. We do not knowingly work with, nor do we wish to be associated with, suppliers whose conduct makes guests feel uncomfortable, disrespected, or unwelcome. We have followed up with the relevant supplier and reviewed how we communicate expectations with activity partners, especially around professionalism, respect, and guest experience. We are grateful that you still got to experience the beauty of the desert and Namibia’s remarkable landscapes with Chilo, and we appreciate the opportunity to improve where the experience around the tour could have been better. I would also like to sincerely apologise for the shortcomings you experienced during your tour. We fully acknowledge that an error was made regarding the return time to Windhoek in relation to your scheduled flight. Unfortunately, we only became aware of the timing conflict once we received your flight details on the morning of departure. Nevertheless, it was our responsibility to identify and resolve this earlier, and for that I am genuinely sorry. From the moment the issue was identified, we ensured that a private transfer was made available to you at no cost, as previously communicated. This option remained available throughout, and we were happy to cover the expense entirely. You later opted for the shared transfer solution when an alternative departure time became possible, and we appreciate your flexibility in assisting us with logistics for the rest of the group. I would also like to apologise for the guiding concerns you mentioned, specifically the missed visit to Walvis Bay. This is not the standard of service or communication we expect from our team. We have addressed this matter directly, and additional training has already been implemented to ensure this does not happen again. Regarding the amended arrangements for Saturday, the intention was to provide a more comfortable option rather than a very early morning departure. However, I completely understand your disappointment that parts of the itinerary were shortened as a result, and I am sorry that you were unable to experience certain activities you were looking forward to. At Chameleon Safaris, we take full responsibility for the mistakes that occurred during your booking process. At the same time, we kindly ask all travellers joining our scheduled departures to carefully read through the full itinerary included in their booking confirmation. We also strongly encourage guests to share their flight information with us as soon as it becomes available. This allows us to arrange transfers accurately and identify any potential issues well in advance. Once again, I sincerely apologise for the inconvenience you encountered and appreciate you bringing this to our attention.
