Disappointed. Less than 45 minutes of actual snorkeling time.
We were disappointed. The main thing to mention for this tour is that it included only about 40 minutes of actual snorkeling time for our group. We had about an hour of light rain during our tour that may have forced an alteration to their typical schedule. This is speculation, though, because how else can you explain only 40 minutes of snorkeling over a 4 hour tour?
The tour pier is about a 45 minute boat ride (one-way) to the first snorkeling stop. That stop had good snorkeling with a lot to see, but only lasts about 15-20 minutes due to a strong current. The next snorkeling stop is 5 minute boat ride away. It is very poor snorkeling with only a handful of large starfish and not much else. Our third stop was another 5-10 boat ride at a waist-high sand bar close to land. We swam/stood in the water there for about 45 minutes there while we waited on the rain to end and the guides prepared ceviche, chips, and fruit. The food was good and we ate for another 20 minutes or so. After that, we took the 45+ minute boat ride back to pier. So all told, two total snorkeling stops for 15-20 minutes each, one good and one poor. Was that worth the $$$ and the 4 hours of total tour time? Not for us. The tour guides themselves were generally friendly and helpful.

Two guides, Mr. Luis and Mr. Manolo, are excellent professionals (9/13) (El Almirante boat); you have a great time with them.
I recommend this visit to everyone who goes to Cozumel.

Prescription Goggles were available!!!
The tour was great, and as described. ~12 to the boat - mostly shaded. Three stops - one was at the reef, one was in a more sandy area with starfish, and stringrays, and one at a sandbar for some welcome rest and snacks. Time in the water snorkeling is only a part of the 4 hours, of course, but this is a trip for tourists, and beginners. I enjoyed it very much. Oh, and the availability of prescription goggles was a great bonus to my group!

Excellent Experience
Booked this trip here instead of going through the cruise line and I’m so happy I did. It was a fraction of the cost and triple the fun! Finding the meet point was extremely easy, at the port there’s a line for taxis. Just remember to bring cash. It was 15 USD for my family of 4. I just followed the direction. The group was my family of four, another family of 3, and a couple. Our guides were Captain Diego & Luis. Very funny and kind. The ceviche was fresh made and absolutely delicious. Yes they wanted to take pictures, but they absolutely did not press for the us to purchase as some people are saying. They did a wonderfully job, so much I also gave them my taxi money and my family and I just walked back to the port, wasn’t bad. Just a 20 min walk. Book this tour! I would definitely book this tour again.

Very nice snorkeling...
Very nice snorkeling tour. Boat picked up and dropped off at our hotel pier, very convenient!
The captain Pablo and tour guide Richardo were super nice. Richardo swam with us and took good care of everyone. We visited a free deep and shallow reefs, gorgeous!
The last stop at El Cielo was amazing - giant stingrays just like babies around you, their body touched people's legs - never had experience. Highly recommend this tour

Great time
Had a great time! Experience couple be upgraded with snorkels with valves on the ends to prevent water splashing in and mouthpieces on snorkels that have more than just a tab on each side to bite down on.

Excellent Snorkeling Adventure – Small Group, Big Experience!
If you’re looking for a snorkeling excursion that’s truly focused on quality snorkeling rather than just checking off tourist stops, this is the one to book. The small group size—only 12 people—made the experience feel personal, relaxed, and very safe. The guides were attentive, knowledgeable, and made sure everyone was comfortable in the water.
One of the highlights was stopping at the stingray sandbar, where the crew prepared fresh ceviche, homemade guacamole, and fresh fruit for us while we enjoyed the beautiful surroundings. It was an unexpected touch that made the day even more special.
From start to finish, everything was well organized, professional, and exceeded our expectations. If you’re looking for a high-quality snorkeling adventure with outstanding service and a small-group experience, I highly recommend this excursion. It was one of the highlights of our trip!
