This was our first safari in Kenya and it could not have been better. A special thank you to our guide John, who was fantastic throughout the entire 7-day trip. He was friendly, professional, punctual, and incredibly knowledgeable about wildlife. Thanks to his expertise, we had many unforgettable sightings and some great photo opportunities. The entire tour was well organized with comfortable accommodations, good food, and beautiful safari destinations including Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Naivasha, and Amboseli. We traveled as a father and two sons, and all three of us had an amazing time. John's positive attitude and dedication really made the difference. We would happily book with Jocky Tours again and highly recommend both the company and John to anyone planning a safari in Kenya.

We flew into Nairobi and stayed the night at the Hilton Garden Inn at the airport. Our guide, Wickloff, picked us up promptly at 7:30am. We drove to Amboseli and checked into the lodge. There was terrible traffic that day & he did an awesome job of finding an alternate route. We ate and unpacked then met him for our evening safari at 4:15pm. It was absolutely incredible. We saw so many elephants, zebras, giraffes, etc. The 2nd day we had 2 safaris...one in morning and one in evening. Again he was on time and even early. We saw incredible animals including a lion up close. He positioned our vehicle perfectly for amazing pictures. On the 3rd morning we had a sunrise safari and it was amazing...our guide spotted 2 cheetahs and giraffes so we were alone with them until tye other trucks arrived. It was so amazing. He was constantly working the radio and trying to find animals. There were only two single women on our trip and we felt completely safe. He did an amazing job....highly recommend him and his company...Jocky Tours with Wickliff!

I don't think there can be a great safari without a great guide. Dennis was spectacular! From the first moment, he sped around in the jeep to show us as much as possible. He always made sure we had enough breaks to observe the animals and he was kind, friendly, always attentive, and perfect in his explanations. And it's impossible not to count the hours of driving he did per day, a champion! We are taking home a wonderful life experience, and this is also thanks to him! Nicola

We had an incredible 7-day safari with Dennis Koome Kithinji, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better driver and guide. From the very first day, Dennis made our experience unforgettable. As soon as we entered the Masai Mara, while we were already excited to see a group of wildebeest, he suddenly told us to sit down and hold on tight. A few minutes later, we were racing across the reserve to see a leopard — our first Big Five sighting and an amazing way to start the safari! The following day was even more memorable. Dennis stopped for quite a long time near a cheetah that was so far away we could barely see it. At first, we wondered why we were waiting there… but Dennis clearly knew what he was doing. About half an hour later, the cheetah got up and started hunting. We followed the action and were lucky enough to witness a successful hunt. It was one of the most exciting experiences of our whole trip. Dennis was always kind, patient and incredibly knowledgeable. He explained animal behaviour to us, took us to beautiful spots for photos — including the Tanzania border — and always gave us plenty of time to enjoy the moment, take pictures and record videos. What impressed us most was how much passion he puts into his job. You can really tell that he loves what he does. Thank you, Dennis, for making these 7 days so special. Did a 6 days Safari with my girlfriend and the experience was great! Stanley was a great guide, he made sure we saw all the animals possible. The food and accommodations were also good! Recommend anyone to do a Safari tour

My Kenya safari with Jocky Tours from 13–19 September 2026 was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I couldn’t have asked for a better guide than Francis, aka Faru! I joined this as a solo traveler on a group trip, and from the very beginning, the entire experience was incredibly well planned. The accommodation, food, transportation, and overall organization were all excellent, especially considering this was a budget safari. Everything was well coordinated, which made the trip comfortable and completely stress-free. On Day 1, Faru told us that he was going to make this trip historic and he absolutely delivered on that promise! His experience, knowledge, and passion for the Kenyan wilderness were evident throughout the entire safari. He seemed to know exactly where to go and when to go, and his connections and experience in the Masai Mara made a huge difference to our sightings. One of the biggest highlights was how close Faru managed to get us to the animals. He consistently went the extra mile to give us incredible up-close views and photo opportunities, while also making sure we maintained respect for the animals and did not disturb them. It was amazing to watch him read the animals and their surroundings so naturally. You could genuinely tell that the reserves are his backyard. We were incredibly lucky to have some fantastic sightings of the Big Five, and a huge part of that was down to Faru’s experience, local knowledge, and contacts in the Mara. Whether it was finding wildlife, positioning the vehicle perfectly, or knowing where to be at the right time, he made the safari feel truly special. Beyond the safari itself, Faru made me feel very comfortable throughout the entire trip. As a solo traveler joining a group of people from different parts of the world, I initially wasn’t sure what to expect, but he was friendly, approachable, professional, and always made sure everyone was having a great time. Travelling and sharing this experience with people from around the world made it even more memorable. Kenya itself was absolutely breathtaking, but having the right guide made all the difference. Faru didn’t just take us on a safari he created an experience that I’ll remember for the rest of my life. A huge thank you to Jocky Tours and especially to Faru for an unforgettable 7 days in Kenya. From the planning and accommodation to the food, wildlife, and incredible group experience, everything came together perfectly. We completed a 7‑day safari through Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha & Amboseli with Jocky Tours. Overall, the organisation, reliability and value for money was good, and the itinerary delivered: we were lucky enough to see the big 5 and much more, with the varied landscapes. If you're thinking of the 7 day safari be prepared for long journeys by road between parks, sometimes 5 or 6 hours. Communication: Communication before the trip was clear: David and Mineh at Jocky head office were happy to respond to the many questions I had prior to the trip. Pick‑ups, schedules and logistics were handled professionally, and any questions we asked were answered quickly. Service & Guide David Mukami was our driver and guide. He was organised, responsible, puctual and made us feel safe at all times. As a driver, he was excellent—skilled, calm and always positioning the vehicle for great sightings. However, he offered little or no information unless prompted. We were missing basic details at the beginning of each day, such as journey times, lunch plans, timings of stops and even where we were going. General wildlife context was rarely volunteered and was minimal. David is a genuinely nice person, but sadly our overall safari experience was negatively impacted by lack of customer engagement skills. I've worked in the tourism sector for many years and know just how very important the guides role is, even more so on such a trip. While I cannot fault the driving and organisation we felt the “guide” service promised by Jocky severly fell short. Value for Money: The safari offered very good value overall. Accommodation matched expectations, meals were decent, and the parks delivered unforgettable wildlife moments. Reliability: The company was reliable with timings and logistics. Everything ran smoothly and safely. Clarity on Extra Costs: We were expected to tip security at the Mara River during the hippo viewing, and at Hell’s Gate we had to pay park entry, bike hire and a guide. All worthwhile, but Jocky should make these additional costs clearer in advance.

Caxstone was super knowledgeable about each park and the animals in them. He is also an incredible driver and helped us to see the big 5!
