4 months after our fishing excursion and all we can think about is how to get back for a second round. The age range for the 6 of us was 13-80 (3 male/3 female) and we all agreed it was the highlight of our trip. Grayson was an awesome Captain and our only regret was that we didn’t book a longer excursion.

Ketchikan's Finest Fishing Charters September 6, 2026 Salmon/Halibut I will start this review with 5*****. “WOW, Amazing”! My husband Darius and I have fished a lot, but this was one of the most anticipated fishing trips we planned in a long time. It did not fail. Captain Andrew texted us with instructions for exactly where to meet on the morning of the trip. He was waiting with this big smile on his face when we arrived. Exchanged introductions and off we went. The tide was low, so he gave caution to proceeding down the sharp incline of the dock. Safety first. Once on the boat Andrew provided clear instructions and we were on our way. While very professional, he was warm, pleasant and personable. There was no doubt it was going to be a good day. While going out there was a heavy overcast, but we were reassured the sun would burn through. He talked to us about things we might see on the way out. We talked about our fishing and learned more about his fishing experience. We arrived at the first spot, the water was a bit choppy, he recognized right away and asked if perhaps calmer waters might be better for our start. We agreed, did not want the day to get off to bad start with sea sickness. Second spot perfect, more boating instructions and he prepared the boat. Last minute instructions exactly what to expect and do, reassured he would be right there. It did not take long “fish on”, he was right at my side. OMG 150 feet down is a long way down and you notice this with each crank of the reel. Finally, there was color. Landed my first pacific cod, oh my it was big. I was so excited couldn’t wait to get bait back in the water. After that we were both hooked. We already anticipating not the next fish but the next trip back. We wanted to catch halibut, set up for bottom fishing. We caught 2 halibut, 2 Cod, 2 Rock fish, a yellow eye; beautiful be sent back into the depths, and a shark. It was an awesome day of fishing. Andrew, you were amazing, we felt like we had known you for years by the end of this trip. We had our fish processed and sent them home. They arrived as scheduled, flash frozen, clean fresh taste. We couldn't have asked for a better day and better Captain on the water and we will be back. Highly recommend this charter company and our Captain Andrew to anyone looking for an amazing fishing adventure!! Thanks again

My wife and I had the best experience with this group. They know what they are doing and captain Andrew got us on fish right away! We had schedule a salmon trip with another outfitter and that got canceled the day we were to go fishing so there was no one available, we asked everybody and they were all sold out, until about 8:30 when Lucas called and said I can get you out for 2.5 hours of fishing if you want? I said yes and man am I glad we did! First class all the way! Met captain Andrew on the pier and within 30 minutes getting to the spot we got hooked right away! From 9-11:30, caught 8 fish in total and kept 5! Captain Andrew was the best and I will be booking again next year! Thank you so much

My wife and I fished with captain Tony. The fishing was tough this time of year but Captain Tony did everything possible to get on some fish. Wind and rough seas made for a challenging day. Fishing is Fishing, captain Tony worked hard with a lot working against us. I know if the fish would have cooperated we would have loaded the boat. Effort goes along way with me regardless of the catch. I would recommend and rebook. The effort was 5 stars.

What a great day! Captain Tony got us on the fish from start to finish! He picked us up right at the ship and it couldn't have been any better.

We had an awesome day with Ketchikan Finest Fishing Charters! Captain Andrew, on Captain Lukas’s boat, was fantastic—knowledgeable, friendly, and a great guide. We had plenty of action throughout the day, and seeing whales while we were out made the experience even better. Beautiful scenery, great fishing, and an all-around memorable day on the water. Highly recommend! Cost was on par with what we expected. We had 6 of us + the captain and boat held the 4 adults and two kids (age 8 and 3) fine. Caught 5 Cohos and 4 Pinks. Highlight of the entire cruise.

We had a great time with Captain Lukas and Louie! He was good with our kids, helped facilitate shipping the fish home, and Louie was an added bonus for our kids.

Captain Grayson made our fishing excursion the BEST ever. I highly recommend booking your private fishing trip with this company. The service during the trip was excellent. Although we only had two hours to fish due to our cruise ship’s departure time, Captain Grayson made sure we got the full experience.

Awesome fishing trip with Captain Lukas! He put us right on the fish, and we caught so many salmon in just a couple hours. He did a great job of instructing us, and we kept 8 pinks and 7 silvers.
