Beautiful visit to the reserve. We have seen many elephants, crocodiles birds etc....

- The tour itself / the guide (NOT the driver): We went the same route back as we did there, so we only saw half of it. The guide looked a lot into his phone, which is why he and thus we missed some things. We've also stood at one point longer than anyone else. The journey took only 3 hours. - The Safari itself could be better organized/coordinated: + many vehicles were occupied by only 2 people. Increase efficiency and reduce the impact on the environment + often you were stuck in traffic because many vehicles could not pass each other. In the process, they destroyed much of the flora.

Our jeep safari in Udawalawe National Park was truly one of the highlights of our trip! From start to finish, the experience was perfectly organized and incredibly exciting. We were picked up at our restaurant in the afternoon. Our driver and guide Dewni were both professional, knowledgeable, and passionate about wildlife. They made sure we had the best possible sightings while always respecting the animals and their natural habitat. Udawalawe is famous for its elephants, and we were lucky enough to see so many of them up close — including mothers with their babies. It was absolutely breathtaking to observe these magnificent animals in the wild. We also spotted water buffalo, crocodiles, deer, monkeys, peacocks, and a wide variety of beautiful birds. The landscape itself is stunning: wide open grasslands, peaceful lakes, and a dramatic mountain backdrop that makes every moment feel like a scene from a documentary. The jeep was comfortable and safe, and our guide was excellent at spotting animals we would have completely missed on our own. He patiently explained everything and answered all our questions. If you are visiting Sri Lanka, a safari in Udawalawe is an absolute must. We would highly recommend this experience to anyone who loves nature and wildlife. It was magical, unforgettable, and worth every second!

Our safari in Udawalawe National Park was honestly one of the best experiences of our trip in Sri Lanka. From start to finish everything was perfectly organized by our lovely guide Naomi :) She knew exactly where to go and always positioned the jeep respectfully without disturbing them. Thanks to her and the driver, we saw many elephants (very close, but safely), as well as buffalo, deer, crocodiles, birds, and even baby elephants. We did not rush, almost never had another jeep around us, so we could take amazing pictures. Would definetely book again! :D

Wonderful morning spent with Dewmi and our driver at Udawalawe. We got useful information and Dewmi also took very nice pictures of us while we were enjoying the beauty of the nature. Amazing place for bird watching and we managed to see all the animal living in the park. Fully recommend the tour.

We came by taxi from Tangalle and our driver organised the jeep for the parc in the Udawalawe Eco Lodge. The jeep was super convenient and the driver showed us many detailed things on the way through the parc. We've seen dozens of elephants, foxes, crocodiles, monkeys, peacocks and different species of beautiful birds. We had a great experience and always felt safe (even when one angry elephant came running towards us, the driver just instantly reacted and turned backwards :D) Anyway, we were sad we didn't make a booking for the night at the Udawalawe Eco Lodge, which is a hidden gem with a beautiful garden very close to the parc. The family running it, is just awesome and very kind, even equipped us with waterbottles and the best bananas out of the garden for our tour in the parc. Thank you so much!

When I booked via WhatsApp the guides answered right away and were in touch to answer my questions until the day of the safari (I did the 4h one). They picked me up at the spot where my driver dropped me and after the safari was done they dropped meat the bus station. They were very kind and explained many things about the animals we saw: peacocks, other birds, elephants, crocodiles, buffalos, eagles, one fox. We went through the beaten tracks of Udawalawe (along which we saw many elephants already) and went all the way to a huge lake where the elephants meet the crocodiles. Very insightful tour.

We had a great safari experience. We saw many elephants, crocodiles, a cobra, peacocks, and many other wild animals in their natural habitat. Our guide was very kind, knowledgeable, and told interesting stories about the wildlife and the area. The safari was well organized and conducted in an ethical way, with respect for the animals and nature. It was a memorable and enjoyable experience that we would highly recommend.

Very well guided tour. The driver took his time, was stress-free and drove great, so it was also good for our 10 month baby. Our guide Jagath was able to tell many details about the animals and the small additional price of a guide is worth it. The additional experienced eyes are worth seeing to see even more (well-camouflaged) animals.
