It was a very kind and polite explanation. The staff's demeanor was also very good. There was someone who couldn't make it on time, so we had to wait 30 minutes. I was a little flustered because I had plans afterward.

Tani is an excellent guide with a fascinating ability to catch small insects for photos and then release them without harm. He clearly loves his subject.

We had an amazing experience on the Five Lakes tour with Yuki. She was absolutely fantastic from start to finish: incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and always happy to explain everything we were seeing along the way. Her English was excellent, which made the whole experience very easy and enjoyable, and we learned so much thanks to all the information and stories she shared with us. The Five Lakes are beautiful on their own, but a huge part of why we enjoyed the tour so much was having Yuki as our guide. She really made the experience special. We would 100% recommend her to anyone visiting Shiretoko. Thank you so much, Yuki!

Amazing experience in a world heritage. Surrounded by nature and following a trampled path we discovered beautiful scenic vista. Guide provided not only clear direction but also anecdotes and explanations on the surrounded forest, habitat and bears behavior. All around a very good experience that I recommend.

Very nice and knowledgeable guide. And the lakes are beautiful. But most of the time is spend in the forrest and the pace is very very slow. A little over 3 KM in almost 3 hours. The hike could easily have been completed in 1 hour - and there is not the much to see.

I recommend this tour of Shiretoko. In both English and Japanese, his guide, Sanigo, tells us about the natural wonders of Shiretoko, its origins, and the lives of its animals. This information made the trek a more difficult and immersive experience. It was such a wonderful and natural tour that I wanted to come back in winter for a special trekking tour of Shiretoko Goko Lakes in another season. Definitely the highlight of my journey!
