Me and My little Family have Gone to Mt Rinjani last Sunday 7th August 2023 We have plan this Family trip for 3 Days and 2 Night before with targeting of Summit Rinjani 3726 Masl especially for my Little Son. We gone with Mr Bas Rinjani Trekking Team, with our humble Guide "Awal". We booked this trip with Mr Bas and helped us plan this trip carefully in advance since June 2023. Via email he gave details of the trip we were going to take and various preparations, and then we communicated via his Whatsapp at +6281236609084. On the same day, we walked with two other groups (from Bas Rinjani Organizer) but different guides and Porters, because Mr Bas said, they were a Group Sharing Package (with 5 to 7 people on a group) and it was impossible for us to join the group because they were adults. which will probably run faster than us who bring children. It feels like the Private Family package is the right choice for us to take because we can arrange a trip with a flexible time and rhythm. This's our first trip to Mt Rinjani. And in the end it didn't match our expectations which might be too much to be able to reach the top of Rinjani, because our little son was unable to continue the journey so he decided to return the next day. Not because of the fault of the management of Mr Bas Company, but it was more up to us it was our choice not to continue even though the Guide had worked hard to motivate us. We highly recommend this Company, because it has a management and service that we think is very good. Someday we promise to return to this very beautiful Rinjani, with the target of being able to reach the top of Rinjani and the lake which is very beautiful when viewed from the Rim. We have stay in Pondok Guru Bakti Homestay in Senaru Village for a night before trek On the day of Trekking Start, we make reservation check in via Sembalun and amazing journey was start here. We recently finished the Sembalun-Senaru portion of the Rinjani 3D2N hike. The personnel at the Bas Rinjani Office in Senaru welcomed us with open arms and served us warm coffee and banana fritters as soon as we arrived. The Embun Rinjani guest home was very tidy and cozy. Our guide, Hajar, and the 4 porters who were with us the entire 3D2N hike made us feel well-cared-for. They were extremely patient with us and gave us direction along the way. I don't think we would have made it to the peak without them. We made the choice to spend the second night along the crater's edge. Since we were a little late, everyone was truly worried about us. Even a different tour leader from the same group came over to assist us. We'll always be appreciative to everyone who looked out for us on the walk and kept us safe. I wholeheartedly advise anyone considering this walk to stay at Bas Rinjani. Our overnight stay in the tent was comfortable thanks to the high-quality tents, as well as the thick beds and cushions that were provided. The porters are excellent cooks as well. They are considerate and always make sure we eat well. We also value their work very much in terms of environmental sustainability. After lunch, everyone of us had the chance to plant a tree at Post 2.

The trekking, the guide and the unbeatable porters. The ideal meal. But the guy you hire on the field trip is an abuser. It charges 2500000rupees for each and the guide and porters have them based on 200000rupees. The treatment and explanation by Mr. Bas was awful. We've been walking around for over 15 hours the second day and nobody's explaining. It's a pretty hard trek. Prepare psychologically and physically. I'm pretty sporty. I do cycling, hiking, mountaineering, swimming, crossfit and this has been a great physical job. You sleep badly, the mats are like you're on the floor and the cold makes a dent. So if you can hire him with better conditions and explanations it will be much better. They're all a mob.

So,before you joining this, there are few questions you have to ask yourself.(which the agency will careless about you) 1: are you doing exercise regularly,considering yourself fit and strong. 2: do you have a strong mind. 3: do your knees in a good condition or ankles If any of those the answer is no, than don’t do it. Questions you should ask before joining this company 1: how many people in this group and what’s their level and how many porters and how many guides ( we were 8 people in the group which is way too many, and if you are beginner you don’t want to in a advance group (you will always alone and behind and no one will understand you) As well as for advance hiker you don’t want to wait for people all the time. 2: check if you got all the stuff they promised before leaving the hotel,because if you don’t get in the first night hotel unlikely you will get them later. 3: join in a small group with a same level as your self is the most important thing you should think about. 4: have a good hiking shoes as well as a stick with you will do you a lot help. Things to bring by yourself 1: a bottle of water you can fill them easily 2:tissue,swimsuit,underwear toothpaste toothbrush, food (important) make sure if the food comes late you will always have your food to switch in. 3: enough clothes, shocks, pants. It’s freezing cold on the summit.
