Great experience on Mount Etna

We have had an excellent tour with Danilo. He was such a knowledgeable and attentive guide, also funny and speaks perfect English. We have learned a lot and, despite the weather (full of snow on the volcano and expected to snow, but it eventually did not). The set-up is excellent, you get some warm jackets and proper boots in case you did not bring your own. The switch between various modes of transport keeps the effort in balance, but you get to actually trek a bit outdoors; the balance was perfect for a snowy season. Maybe during milder weather, you would like to trek more. The views are stunning anyway. For lunch, do not expect a full-fledged one, it's street food from Catania (pizzete, other savory pastry), and a bottle of wine for the group to share. It was anyway, enough to refuel for the last part of the tour. There was a small misunderstanding at the end when we had to pay, but it was eventually sorted out, and we paid as per the advertisement.

Enthusiastic and well informed guide shared everything we wanted to know about Etna and Sicily. Some walking and exploring involved but not strenuous.

Fantastic experience and very interesting! Giovanni was our tour guide and was very good! Both a cool, smart and fun guide so could answer all of the questions. Exciting to see so much on the volcano, stylish crying and delicious lunch! Recommended!

Lunch and makes it a Picnic, so in case of bad weather, as for us it is far from ideal.

With Giovanni, a young experienced guide, cultured, smiling and patient. He has a perfect grasp of his subject and it is a real plus! Mi trekking day on Mount Etna, magical place and much more than a volcano for Sicilians, yes Giovanni we understood and felt it with you! Impeccable organization: timing, points of interest, rest time, brunch (even for me gluten-free)... We were 8 in all including 5 who neither knew nor spoke the same language and yet, what an unforgettable moment of sharing!! Discovery in addition to Catania, an unknown city that really deserves to be visited. Beautiful. Count with the cable car extra (70€ anyway 😬) but you will not regret it. This day will remain for me the highlight of my trip to this surprising and disconcerting Sicily.

Highly recommend this trip. Picked up at 8.30 prompt and headed to base camp where we were able to get warm coats and shoes. Cable car was amazing, then in a truck where we drove further up the mountain to start the lava trek. Very very windy but not as cold as I expected. It was quite tiring but well worth the effort as the views and sheer scale of the landscape was spectacular. Then headed back down and went for a lovely picnic before going into a small larva cave and then getting dropped back off at the hotel. Tour guide was brilliant

Wonderful time with Giovanni, an extraordinary guide who taught us a lot. We took part in the excursion with our children aged 6 and 14, we all had a fabulous day! The views of the craters are breathtaking..., The icing on the cake: excellent lunch of Sicilian street food, with a small local wine...! We recommend Etna Experience, communication is easy and efficient, all the staff is very professional. Do not hesitate, they offer excursions for all levels.
