最初に立ち寄るのは、オーベルジンを中心とした野菜をトマトソース、セロリ、玉ねぎ、オリーブ、ケーパー、砂糖、酢で味付けした、鮮やかなフライド野菜のシチリア風カポナータ。 カポナータは地中海を渡って数え切れないほどのバリエーションがあり、現在ではサイドや前菜として供されるのが一般的ですが、18世紀からはメインコースとしても楽しまれました。
フライドフィッシュコーンを試すのに、地元の市場ほど良い場所はありませんか？ 釣れたての魚を完璧に揚げた、さまざまな種類の魚が詰まったおいしいコーンに舌鼓。 あるいは、別の地元の屋台料理を楽しむこともでき、市場の活気ある味を本当の意味で味わうことができるかもしれません。
ツアーを続けると、パフペストリーでできた素朴なシチリアのペストリー、カタネーゼ・シポッリーナ（Catanese cipollina）を味わいます。 カタナのロティサリーの定番で、最初の一口目からおいしく、パリッとしたフレーク状の外観は、温かく香ばしく、ほんのり甘いフィリングに道を譲る。
ツアーを続けると、カルトッチャータの試食もできます。 このカタルーニャ名物は、詰め物、香り、風味豊かな素朴なペストリーです。 シチリアのロティサリーの定番で、小さな焼いたカルツォーネに似ているが、背が高く、柔らかく、空気を含んだ生地が際立っている。
最後はシチリアの甘いお菓子でツアーは締めくくられます。 クリーミーで甘いリコッタのミックスが詰まった象徴的なクリスピー・ペストリー、カンノーリに、砂糖漬けのフルーツやカリカリのピスタチオ、ダークチョコレートチップを添えることが多い。 または、夏の暑い午後に涼むのに最適な、爽やかなアイスデザート「シチリアのグラニータ」をお試しください。 新鮮なフルーツ、砂糖、氷でシンプルに作られ、豊かな料理の旅を高音で締めくくる、軽やかで風味豊かな味わいです。

We really experienced delicious Cantania and Sicilian food and tasted food that is not made in the US. Viator and the restaurant all accommodated my food allergies. It was great and Simone was an excellent guide. Her knowledge of Cantania and Sicilian food as well as historical anecdotes made the tour well worth while. Highly recommend the tour.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Superb Food Tour with Giuseppe! We had an absolutely superb walking food tour of Catania with Giuseppe and couldn’t recommend him highly enough. Giuseppe was incredibly knowledgeable about the city, its history, culture and, of course, its food. You could tell immediately that he genuinely loves Catania and was passionate about sharing it with us. He was also funny, friendly and extremely helpful, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. We visited some fantastic local spots and tasted a brilliant variety of really fresh, authentic Sicilian food — from amazing fresh fish to cannelloni and other traditional dishes, as well as delicious sorbet. Everything was full of flavour and felt like a genuine taste of Catania rather than a typical tourist experience. Giuseppe also took the time to explain what we were eating and the stories behind the places we visited, which really brought the city to life. If you’re visiting Catania, I would highly, highly recommend booking a tour with Giuseppe. He made the experience memorable, and we saw and tasted parts of Catania that we would never have discovered on our own. Thank you, Giuseppe — absolutely fantastic! It was a wonderful experience, the tour available for the date I was able to attend was in English and I only speak Italian and Spanish, the guide Allegra very cordially and kindly translated the whole tour into Italian, a very attentive, cheerful girl who made the experience very enjoyable, explaining in detail the food and history of the places I visited and their surroundings. I fully recommend the tour and hope she is your guide
Don’t eat before you go. We had 5 stops , and the food was very filling and the food was phenomenal. Our guide, Simone was exceptional.
