Butrint is a fascinating site and well worth seeing. Organisation of the tour was good. Four of us and the guide and driver in a smallish car from Sarande. But it isn’t far. Our guide told us a lot about the site, very interesting. She paced the tour well, based on the slowest member of the group. For the price, we appreciated the guide and driver.

We were a group of friends and chose the right tour to get to know the life of the city. The excursion lasted one hour, and we visited Lekursi Castle, which has the most beautiful view in Saranda.

A must see! If you are into centuries of history you will love this site. Set in a stunningly beautiful forest and partially enclosed by a lake, I could have spent all day there. The small museum has busts of Augustus, Agrippa, and a few other famous Romans whose names are escaping me at the moment (not allowed to take photos). Our guide Doria was very knowledgeable and considerate. I highly recommend coming to this area in the shoulder seasons. No crowds and the temperature is very comfortable. It makes for an enjoyable experience!

I visited Albania specifically to take the Butrint tour, as I have studied this historical period extensively. The guide had a strong knowledge of history. We had a very good discussion together.
We found the tour on Google and everything was exactly as described. We were staying at a hotel outside the city, and their minivan arrived very quickly. The guide was cooperative and kept us engaged by asking questions from time to time. I recommend it. 10 stars!
