Similar packages at hotel spas and luxury facilities in Bodrum can often cost several times more. Our aim is therefore not to recreate a $150–$300 luxury hotel spa experience, but to offer our guests an authentic, enjoyable and very good-value introduction to the traditional Turkish hammam. That being said, good value should not mean unclear organization. We completely understand your comments regarding the waiting periods between the sauna, hammam and massage. Guests should be better informed about what happens next, even during busy periods, and this is something we will continue to improve with our team. We would also like to clarify one point regarding the smell you mentioned. The hammam is a traditional environment that remains continuously very warm, humid and steamy throughout the day. The combination of hot stone, constant moisture, steam and many guests using the facilities can create a distinctive “traditional hammam” atmosphere and smell, which can be quite different from the perfumed environment of a modern hotel spa. Nevertheless, hygiene is extremely important to us and the hammam is regularly cleaned and maintained. Optional treatments are offered to guests who would like to extend or upgrade their experience, but they are entirely optional. However, we must clarify one very important point in your review, as the statement regarding nudity does not accurately represent our hammam or the experience we provide. **Full nudity is not permitted in our hammam.** Approximately 95% of our guests arrive wearing swimsuits or bikinis. For guests who do not bring swimwear, we provide a traditional Turkish **peştemal**, a large cotton hammam towel specifically designed to be wrapped securely around the body and provide appropriate coverage. Therefore, the suggestion that guests are expected to be “fully nude in front of everyone else, regardless of gender” is simply not accurate. We would never ask or expect our guests to do this, nor would we permit such a situation in our facility. We take our guests’ privacy and comfort seriously. Regarding additional massages and treatments, these are **optional upgrades only**. They are presented to guests who may wish to extend their experience, but nobody is required to purchase anything beyond the package they originally booked. We must also respectfully disagree with the impression that our facility is simply “dirty.” A traditional Turkish hammam is a continuously hot, humid and wet environment and naturally has a very different atmosphere from a modern hotel spa. Nevertheless, our hammam and treatment areas are cleaned and maintained regularly, and hygiene remains an important part of our operation. Dear Guest, We would like to respond again because the allegation made in this review is extremely serious, and we believe it deserves a clear and responsible response. First and foremost, **any inappropriate or sexual touching of a guest would be completely unacceptable.** Such behaviour is not part of a traditional Turkish hammam treatment, is not part of our service, and would never be tolerated. At the same time, we would like to provide some important context. This is a busy, established hammam with approximately **20 employees**, and during busy periods as many as **150–200 guests may visit in a day**. Treatments take place in an active hammam environment with staff and other guests regularly present. For this reason, the circumstances described in the review are very difficult for us to reconcile with the normal operation of the hammam. A traditional Turkish hammam treatment does involve physical contact during the body scrub and foam wash, and it is possible for movements during a treatment to be perceived or understood differently. However, **deliberate intimate touching is not part of the treatment and would never be considered acceptable professional conduct.** Because guest comfort and safety come first, we nevertheless took the allegation extremely seriously. **As a precautionary measure, the staff member who provided the treatment was immediately removed from all guest-facing treatment duties. He no longer provides hammam treatments or has direct treatment contact with our guests and was reassigned to non-guest-facing cleaning duties.** This action was taken as a precaution for guest safety and comfort and should not be interpreted as a determination of what occurred during the treatment. We would also like to clarify that guests are **not expected to be nude** in our hammam. The overwhelming majority arrive wearing a swimsuit or bikini. Guests without swimwear are provided with a traditional Turkish **peştemal** to cover the body, and female guests who prefer a female therapist may request one. Regarding the massage, pressure should always be adjusted when a guest asks for a lighter treatment, and we are sorry that you did not feel your request was sufficiently respected. Our previous response was written defensively because we were shocked by the seriousness of the allegation. However, regardless of whether there may have been a misunderstanding during the treatment, we believe the responsible approach is to take any report concerning a guest's personal boundaries seriously and take appropriate precautionary action.
