This tour was average. The biggest disappointment was the non-native driver/guide. The guide/driver was rambling and difficult to understand. I also felt that he did not have the background to provide the tour. The Abby was good but not great compared to other castles and old houses that I visited. We did stop at a country village for a break. I wish we would have spent more time at the village. It was charming. The best part of this tour was the garden at the Abby and the TeaHouse in the garden. It was lovely and the food was top quality.

We enjoyed our tour with our driver and guide Michael who wasn’t just knowledgeable, but also entertaining. Great insights into the Irish and Connemara culture. Unfortunately, climbing Diamond Hill was hampered by rainy weather, but the National Park was lovely even in the wet and it was great to see Connemara ponies. We’ll have to come back for a guided trail hike and revisit Clifden

A great tour. You won’t be disappointed. Kylemore Abbey is beautiful - as is Connemara.

This was a lovely tour of Connemara from Galway. Mike, the bus driver/guide, was a fount of knowledge about the nature of the bogs and mountains in Connemara, as well as local history. Besides the destinations, we had a few other scenic stops, including Clifden. I liked the generous time (3 hours) at your choice of two destinations: Kylemore Abbey or Diamond Hill. My original intent was to hike the hill, but I caught a chest cold and injured my wrist and ended up choosing Kylemore as we headed to the destinations. Even there, I had to opportunity to hike 4-5 miles, though it was much more flat. Everything was scenic and gorgeous. Thanks, Wild Atlantic Way and Mike!

Crowded small bus... aborted before the day even started. A few days prior, I asked a few questions via email of the tour company prior to departure (have gluten free meal requirements) and got a brief (almost dismissive) response. Boarded the bus, which was packed and hot and made me claustrophobic, and the driver looked really uninterested.... so I opted to NOT take this tour and waste a precious vacation day in Galway with this group. Took a different tour earlier in the week with Lally Tours and it was exceptional. Glad I didn't take this trip!

With this tour you experienced Connemara. You have to take nature as it comes with rain and wind, but that is part of the experience.

I loved my time on this tour. The stop we made by the lake with sheep on the sides was one of my favorites of the whole trip. I also appreciated our tour guide for helping us choose between the park and the abbey, which was one of my biggest questions getting on the bus. Great views and stops along the way, and well timed at each.

It was very educational. Vincent the driver told beautiful but also funny stories. He was also very caring and made sure that everyone was back on the bus

Prepare for changing weather. Pack a snack. Great chance to connect with people from various countries and a broad age range. You can do it.

My wife & I booked this thru the ViaTour website. We are both seniors. ViaTour req’d, w/o explanation or alert (we thought we had encountered a website error) that 1 Regular Adult ticket was req’d ($$). No way to get 2 Senior tickets. Only 1 R. Adult & 1 Senior Adult. Price advertised and shown for Senior Adults was less. So we were forced to pay more. I notified ViaTour. Asked for two Senior tics. They said no, that’s just the way it is. I called the tour operator, N. Atlantic. & they should tough luck, you shoulda booked it on our website— it charges the right price. Terrible way to market and operate your internet-vendor marketing. But, the tour and driver were fine. So a bad-good experience for us.
