ソルトレイクシティ〜イエローストーンとグランドティトン3日ツアー

This trip was not as advertised. The commentary was mainly in Chinese with a little english. If you are an english speaker you were the last to know what was going on. Very often you were pushed aside by the other guests and there was no group feeling. There were 5 other english speakers on this tour out of 52. It was marketed to be around 15. I tried to contact the company unsuccessfully. To make things worse, at the end of the trip additional charges were made with no prior agreement or amount as everyone was on a different deal. According to my contract all i needed to pay for was tips and entrance. The driver was amazing and the tour guide deserves a medal for the chaotic management by the company.

This was my first multi day tour, but I have visited multiple national parks with touring companies for day excursions plenty of times before. This was a unique experience and the beauty of both Yellowstone and Grand Teton are unmatched! It is pristine and completely unadulterated to create a serene environment. That said, the tour guide Robin was good, not great but he provided us with a safe journey and due to the weather flipped the itinerary so that we could see Grand Teton on a sunny day. He also takes great pictures!! So this is my gripe with the tour, I booked through Viator which last I checked is a Trip Advisor company but I guess the package available on Viator is not the same as Trip Advisor so we were “nickel and dimed” on a couple of aspects of the tour. First Bear World is not included in the Viator option but if you booked through Trip Advisor it is. So that’s $27 per person ($54 total) to pay out of pocket that we didn’t plan for but we got it covered. Then at the very end when we were dropped off we were told that we had to pay a $5 a day per person fuel charge. So that was another $30 that we had to pay out of pocket. Apparently the cost is included for those who booked through Trip Advisor. I was disappointed by the lack of up front communication. That’s on the company I don’t blame Robin one bit he was merely the messenger. Apparently hotel options are limited in West Yellowstone but my goodness could they not find better accommodations? The inn is clean and all that but honestly it’s a dump, no other way to describe it. Of course there is nothing in the description or communication leading up to the tour that tells you where you’ll be staying so you can check it out in advance to plan. My advice, bring an extension cord and/or multi-plug because there are no bedside outlets in the double room and if you’re like me and have a lot of devices to charge you’ll be hurting. Lastly, for such a long trek, water isn’t provided which feels cheap for a tour. There was a whole case of water in the back but yet we were not allowed to get a bottle??? Traveling in high altitude and reminded to hydrate before/after long walks but not offered water…. ridiculous. I had a refillable bottle and so did others but there aren’t many places to refill your bottle so you have to buy water more often than not. Feels like a lot of money to spend for subpar lodging and unexpected extra costs. Overall it was a good time and Robin did his best with our group. He herded the cats effectively as we had a couple of folks who liked to wander lol. I would recommend the tour but just know what you’re signing up for if you choose this tour.

Having a tour guide was critical great knowledge of the Parks and crowds and best things to see. Managed our time efficiently

This tour is very well organized and set like music paper. This allows you to visit the main spots in the park. Downtime is sufficient to visit and take a pee break. The King guide was super friendly, helpful and attentive. The seats of the bus are comfortable, important point when driving a lot and long.
