What a beautiful trip. This tour is perfect for a quieter, more scenic tour compared to the ones in the North. Better marine life and the huts have fans
The places are amazing, nadei with the turtles was an unforgettable experience. The camp was very clean, the people were nice, the food was good. It would have been great if they hadn't forgotten our breakfast the last day and the van of the transportation hadn't been so crowded, it was with 17 people including 3 children, but the van only carried 12 people. But outside it was all great.
We booked the 4d 3n tour through Lagum. In retrospect, it would probably have been cheaper to book directly with Camp Malaya. This tour has been the highlight of our trip so far! The guide Joe and the crew were super friendly and top organized. The food was delicious and a vegetarian was taken into consideration. We slept in the small house and the camp was clean and top organized. There was free water included. Only four out of five stars because: -Communication with Lagum Adventure was really bad beforehand. We had to ask several times to get a bad answer (but I don't think Camp Malaya is concerned but only Lagum Adventure) -The approach by van was very fast and we were really a little afraid to build an accident. The seat belts didn't go for that. -Day 1 was a bit chaotic at first, as a short briefing was missing on arrival at the port. -It was only three full days as the departure day consisted only of breakfast. -When snorkeling the anchor was thrown into the coral reef I didn't like it. These negative points serve more to give feedback to the organizers than to make the tour bad here! We had a wonderful tour and I recommend it to everyone!! There were very few other tourists there and you had partly beaches in paradise to yourself!
The best experience ever!! Vince was there for us 24/7 The views, the food, the tents everything was 10 out of 10!! If you are looking for a tour like this stop scrolling and book it!! Thank me later
These are the most beautiful islands I have ever visited! We swam with lots of turtles seeing the most paradisiacal landscapes possible. We had a great team thanks to Renz our guide. I ate so well. We slept in huts with our feet in the sand... a dream. Thank you to the whole team!
Unbelievable islands. Corals, turtles, starfish, white sand and turquoise waters... a dream. However, the staff does not speak .. or very little English. Puts us on islands without knowing what to see. Stop twice on supposed sandbars. Except they didn't plan for it to be high. No respect for the environment: anchor planted in corals.. butts thrown in the open sea... Plastic bottles from everywhere... What will happen to this circuit in a few years? Good meals. On the other hand taste..coffee and tea on the first day then nothing... The driver of the van was more than reckless.
Super exirsion but 30% more expensive than agencies via Viator! Other people paid much less with bonus 1 night on Onok!
Enjoyed this tour of the beautiful Balabac islands. I loved the island camp site with comfortable mattes inside the tent. The food was nice with veg, meat, fish options at lunch and dinner. Tour guide and boat crew were friendly. Transportation all worked smoothly. Cute dogs and cats on the campsite island. This is a remote and rustic experience so don’t expect hotel level accommodation. You are camping and sharing toilet/ cold shower.
The expedition did not live up to our expectations. Our guide, Mac Mac, was completely unqualified; he didn’t act like a professional guide at all. Throughout the trip, he didn't provide any information or context about the places we visited. Although we had received an itinerary via email, it was never followed or clarified. The first duty of a guide is to brief the group on the daily schedule, timings, and activities, but this never happened. Punctuality was also a major issue. He was consistently 20–30 minutes late, wasting our precious time on the islands. Furthermore, he failed to advise us on what to bring or how to prepare for each day. To top it off, he didn't even say goodbye to the group at the end of the tour. Regarding the food, while lunch and dinner were acceptable, breakfast was disappointing. I understand we were on a remote island and I wasn't expecting luxury—I actually enjoyed the camp stay as it was the kind of rugged experience I was looking for. However, the management needs to seriously review their standards to make the tour worth the price and enjoyable for guests. I wasn't the only one dissatisfied; everyone in the group was complaining. As a professional tour guide in Europe, I know what hospitality and group management should look like, and this was far below acceptable standards."
I did the 4-day Balabac tour with a friend and it was truly one of the highlights of our trip to the Philippines. The islands are absolutely stunning — crystal clear water, white sand beaches and untouched nature everywhere. What made this experience even more special was the amazing team. Everyone was so kind, caring and welcoming, and they really made us feel comfortable and taken care of throughout the whole trip. I’m honestly so happy we decided to do this tour and will always remember these beautiful days. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to experience paradise!
