We’re none…the guy Austin didn’t show up and called 2 hours later too say he didn’t wake up for his alarm at 10 or 11 …… I can’t relate to grown men who can’t get out of bed

I made reservations for a private tour in Kyoto and asked about pickup at our ships pier. They asked my reservation number and keep emailing me. They charged the tour while I continued to ask about transportation to meet the guide. I did not realize that we were a two hour drive from our pier to Kyoto. They finally said the day before the tour I had to make it on our own to Kyoto. They knew it was too far for weeks ahead and left it to us to figure out. After we told them we couldn’t get there on our own they refused a refund. I had told them we were 80 years old. Obviously we would have cancelled earlier if we realized they would not help arrange transportation. They continually gave the impression they would be able to help us arrange transportation. I’m shocked they would not refund our $233.
Hi Patricia, I completely understand your frustration at missing out on the tour. We had discussed 1 week before that the host could meet guests within a 5 km radius, and you had kindly informed us that you'd arrange to reach the meeting point via taxi. However, circumstances changed at the last minute on your end. While we always aim to accommodate last-minute changes, we also need to consider our hosts and third-party suppliers. In early May 2023, we had a really great tour with our guide Axel. He was great about tailoring the tour to our interests, and even suggested some off-the-beaten path locations that were exactly what we were looking for! Highly recommended!
The guide has a liking personality We like very much the company. It made our first trip to Kyoto unforgettable.
We had a great tour with Alex, who is very well prepared, committed and knowledgeable. He had interesting stories to tell for all age groups, from children to grandparents. Additionally, he was able to give us background information to every question we asked. Furthermore, he extended the tour well beyond the booked time. We saw and learned a lot!
We had a great time with Brenda! She followed our desires completely and we even got to see a geisha despite the timing not being ideal! She explained things thoroughly and went at our pace. She took great pictures of us and was really helpful even after helping our experience. I would definitely book this tour and will recommend it to anyone on their way to Japan!
My guide was extremely friendly and personable. Lime making a new friend. "Nihon-ga Tomodachi". He was very knowledgeable with the history of the various Temples and Shrines. Besides the "formal" tourist sights, he introduced me to some of the local culture. We used a one day bus pass to visit numerous locations of interest. Whi.le I was aware that the "Official" Tour was of three hours duration, he insisted time was of no concern, rather my getting the most of this opportunity. Highly, highly recommended.
We had a half day tour of Kyoto with ‘Yuri’. It’s probably the best walking tour we ve ever had. He s passionate about his city and just loves showing it off. We had a perfect mix - a bit of history , culture etc. Yuri is an exceptional guide as he is highly intuitive and so can quickly see what you want to do or don’t want to do. An exceptional guide!
