パリの初期バロック建築の顕著な例であるサン＝ポール＝サン＝ルイ教会からスタート。 17世紀に建てられたこの教会はイエズス会の影響を反映しており、サンタントワーヌ通りからル・マレへの歴史的な入り口を象徴しています。
1612年に完成したパリ最古の計画広場、ヴォージュ広場へ進みます。 左右対称の赤レンガのファサードとアーケードは、かつて貴族を収容し、今日では市内で最もバランスのとれた静かな優雅な公共空間の1つであり続けている。
歴史的なユダヤ人街の中心部、ロシエ通りを歩きます。 この通りは文化的アイデンティティの層を反映しており、伝統的なパン屋、老舗の総菜店、小さな商店などが何世代にもわたってこの地域の特徴を形作ってきた。
オテル・ド・シュリーや近くの隠れた中庭を通り過ぎます。かつては貴族のために建てられた私邸でした。 これらの静かな内部空間は、大通りから離れ、驚くべきディテールで保存されたル・マレの別の側面を明らかにしている。

We had a great tour with Elli! We walked the Marais area as Elli pointed out highlights and iconic places, buildings, and statues. She pointed out great places to eat and drink as well as educate us about the cultural make up and history of the area. My wife is a photographer. Elli knew this because of a questionnaire we filled out before we arrived in Paris. Elli also contacted us weeks before our arrival to find out what we wanted to do and see on this tour. She took us to and pointed out places that would be great to photograph and patiently waited until we finished taking photos. Elli is very knowledgeable and educated but very easy to talk to and communicate with . Because of Elli we absolutely got the maximum value from this tour!
