Wonderful experience with room for improvement
We booked a private, three-hour boat tour with Montenegro Submarine. Captain Mark and Dejo welcomed us aboard in a friendly manner and first explained the itinerary of the tour to us. The trip along the beautiful coast of Kotor was an overall great experience. Among other things, we sailed past Perast, made a stop at the island of Gospa od Škrpjela, and took a swimming break at the Blue Lagoon. Since we had booked a private tour and explicitly expressed the wish for a little more time to swim, Captain Mark had also promised us another swimming stop near the Blue Lagoon. Unfortunately, that did not happen due to time management. We are deducting one star primarily because of the professionalism during the tour. The second captain, Dejo, lay in the back area of the boat during the entire three hours. As a result, this area was practically unusable for us. Also, the ladder for swimming was partially only accessible by having to step past his feet. Especially on a private tour, we would have expected the entire area of the boat to be freely available for the guests to use. Furthermore, we found it a great shame that we were repeatedly asked by Captain Mark during the last 40 minutes or so of the tour to leave a positive review in exchange for a fruit cup. We had already kindly agreed several times that we would be happy to leave the review after the tour and would like to enjoy the remaining time. Nevertheless, he continued to push for it. Unfortunately, that significantly dampened the otherwise beautiful end of the tour. Up to that point, we were very satisfied with the tour and, because of the beautiful experience, would have certainly given more stars. Overall, the boat trip was still a nice excursion for us, especially because of the impressive landscape and the beautiful route.
