A really enjoyable 3 hour trip starting from St Paul's Bay where there is adequate nearby parking. The boat was not too crowded and clean with excellent views through the underwater screens. The crew was knowledgable and polite, but did not talk endlessly as on some boat trips, free soft drinks were provided and, best of all, there was no loud music being played throughout the journey! Good value for money at 35 euros per adult and would definitely recommend.

Wonderful excursion for us. Great crew - everything clean and life jackets for children and adults. Great excursion. Snorkeling was top-notch.

As a couple, we booked the hippo submarine boat trip setting off from Lindos, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our holiday. It's a wonderful experience for couples, but watching the families around us enjoying themselves just added to the atmosphere — kids laughing, parents relaxing, everyone having a brilliant time together. The trip actually starts with a beautiful 30-minute coach ride straight from our hotel, which was a lovely scenic journey in itself. At 35 euros, it was incredible value — especially when some of the normal boat trips we saw started at 65 euros. It truly feels like 2 trips in one as you can enjoy relaxing up top or down below looking beneath the sea. One of the best parts is the underwater viewing — you get to see right under the ocean, watching the fish and sea life as you cruise along. It was magical for us as a couple, and we loved seeing the kids on board pressed up against the windows, completely mesmerised. Safety is clearly a top priority for the crew. They provide life jackets, floats, and snorkels, and they genuinely keep watch over everyone in the water, making sure no one swims too far out. It was reassuring to see how attentive they were with the families on board too. There are two stop-offs for swimming, giving everyone a chance to cool off in the sea, and onboard they serve drinks and snacks, plus you get 2 free soft drinks included. A special mention has to go to the captain, Taso (pronounced Tasso), who owns the boat — he was such a friendly, warm guy and really made the day feel personal and special. He also did a great job selling me a t-shirt. It turned out to be great quality I the end. Highly recommend this trip — brilliant value, beautiful scenery, and a real feel-good atmosphere for couples and families alike! Thanks gents Lee and Lisa

A truly worthwhile tour, both above and below water. The crew provided us with plenty of information in addition to the drinks. The crowning finale was the young sea turtle that the crew pointed out to us in the bay of Lindos.

We were staying locally so it was a 10 minute walk to the port. Easy to give name to check in on board. There is a look, air conditioning, and a complimentary soft drink on board. The submarine part of the the boat below deck was like a moving aquarium. We were expecting lots of different fish but I think we had gotten over excited. There were little fish schools and some bigger fish when it was 'feeding' time, but not as expansive as we'd assumed. The kids of other families seemed excited though. It was nice to have a couple of swim stops. They offer free snorkeling equipment if you dont have your own and you can see a few more fish around the rocks at both stops. We thought there would be some tour guide type information given as we went but there was only music playing on the speakers. The crew were knowledgeable if you asked them anything though, but sad you weren't offered the info freely. Overall was a good experience and glad we did it, but dont need to do it again.

Nice trip for children. They can feed fish and swim with snorkels. Very nice rocks and cliffs on the way. The ship goes in a very narrow path between the cliffs, almost like going in a fjord, but in Greece. We had a good time.

Loved this! It was perfect for us. It was our last day on the island and we wanted something that didn’t take a whole day. TUI coach dropped us off at the top directly on the path. Yes it is steep! But it’s not as long as I was expecting. My 76 mother-in-law was nervous but she made it with help and wasn’t that slow. To get on the bridge isn’t the widest but the crew hold your hand (if you want!) and it didn’t feel that difficult. We sat along the outside edge, were given a briefing and then on our way. You can move downstairs when you want and it feels stable enough to move around. It’s nicely air conditioned downstairs. Not loads of fish to see initially but that was ok, we were just enjoying the experience. First swim stop is quite early on, looked lovely but as a non-swimmer I was nervous, so didn’t fancy this first stop. But seeing how lovely it was I decided to try on the 2nd one. 7 & 10 yr old super brave and got in! Crew are great and can give you life jackets, noodles and goggles, snorkels etc. I personally thought swim stops were a great length. The 2nd swim stop felt shallower so decided to get - was given a life jacket and a noodle and given some advice and I don’t regret it. It was lovely. There’s a ladder for adults and a smaller one for children at the front. Or you can jump in! Bar is great - selection or soft drinks and some beers. Pringles and some small snacks available. Merchandise as well. Toilet is small but clean and great for kid emergencies!! Thank you for an enjoyable trip!

Great trip, lovely staff and excellent swimming stop offs with enough time. Loved the submarine to be able to see the bottom of the sea was lovely.

Our trip on the Hippo Submarine was fantastic from start to finish. The crew were brilliant, friendly, and made the whole experience enjoyable. The views were absolutely amazing, and we loved seeing the fish from below deck. It was also incredible to be able to take videos and photos of our family swimming in the sea from the underwater viewing area. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Rhodes and would definitely do it again if we come back!
