We warmly recommend Bhutan Acorn Tours & Travels. All our interactions, from the initial contact to the planning and realisation of our trip were very smooth, professional and enjoyable. We were able to have a custom-based designed programme meeting our needs, which in our case included a desire to immerse ourselves as a family of four into the culture of Bhutan by getting to know the culture, people, historical and religious sites, while spending every day some time in nature and doing some hikes. The stay over 2 days in a Homestay, the trek and arrival on the Tiger’s Nest from the top, and lunches at various people’s home are among the numerous highlights from our trip. Our guide, Tashi, was very knowledgeable and always keen and enthusiastic to share his knowledge and passion. And our driver, Kinley, was very safe and very considerate and adding a personal touch through his musical talents. We really appreciated the depth, authenticity and richness of the experience we were able to have within 12 days and are leaving with some beautiful memories and friends that will stay for ever.

We took a 12-day tour with this tour operator, and it was wonderful. Mr. Karma quickly and kindly answered all our questions beforehand, so we started our vacation with a good feeling. Once we arrived, our guide Norbu and driver Tille took excellent care of us and showed us their country. It felt like visiting good friends. Both were very accommodating. Bhutan Acorn Tours and Travel provided us with a wonderful experience in our 12-day stay in Bhutan. My friend and I were welcomed warmly at the airport by our guide and driver who immediately started us off on our packed adventure in this amazing country. Our guide was friendly, charming, organized, efficient, and knowledgeable. Our driver was cordial, helpful, and always a careful negotiator of Bhutan's winding roadways. Together, they made us feel comfortable and took us on a wide array of experiences, following closely the itinerary that had been promised by Bhutan Acorn. As we had expected, we went to many and varied historical and religious sites, to cultural institutions, and onto a trek into the Bhutan countryside. The 3-day trek in central Bhutan was slightly disappointing as our route took us on and over many roads that had been recently constructed n the area. Our trek crew, though, did a great job in providing us with food and shelter. The hotels we stayed in were all beautiful, sanitary, and welcoming. The food was plentiful and delicious, giving us a good sampling of the national cuisine. Overall, we were very pleased with our trip and recommend Bhutan Acorn highly.
