The ride is nice but it is very slow, the quad bikes are not very powerful so it is good for novices. For those who want a bit of adrenaline, skip it; the safety restrictions are very strict so there is no way to have fun on the side
We have done the Half Day Quad Tour, and we've had a blast. The tour was a lot of fun, because of the well balanced combination of on and off the road, flat and more challenged, and a diverse combination of scenery. The tour has three interesting stops. An historic castle, a biologic farm and a stop for a small snack or a quick lunch. The check-in is done professionally, trustworthy and warm welcoming. English is spoken very well by the team members. The quads and equipment were all prepared well and functioned perfectly. The Algarve Riders team was well equipped and has good knowledge of the culture and surroundings. We definitely recommend the Algarve Riders!

We had such a brilliant time on the 3-hour Algarve quad bike tour and would absolutely recommend it! Francisco was our guide and was fantastic from the moment we arrived. He was friendly, welcoming and incredibly attentive throughout the whole experience. He took time to explain Portuguese history and tell us about the different areas we visited, which made the tour feel much more personal than simply riding around on quad bikes. He was very safety conscious and made sure everyone felt comfortable and confident, while still making the experience great fun. A genuinely lovely man and an excellent guide! As for the quad biking itself — fun, exhilarating and VERY dirty! 😂 Definitely wear clothes you don’t mind getting covered in dust and dirt. One little tip: if you’re wearing shorts, be careful with your left leg, as the exhaust area on the quad can get extremely hot. We would definitely recommend doing the 3-hour tour. It gives you plenty of time to really enjoy the experience and see more of the Algarve. Our only tiny criticism would be the final stop at the cafés. It would have been nice to have had another 10–15 minutes there, as some of us hadn’t quite finished our drinks and ice creams before it was time to get going again. It certainly didn’t spoil the experience though. That small point aside, we would happily do the whole thing all over again! Exhilarating torture! Hot muffler blowing on legs. Wear pants. Buy the mask. SOOOO DUSTY!!! Nice guys. Pretty olive groves were seen. Big group. About 15 quads. Just FYI.
The safety briefing was comprehensive and thorough, in fact safety was the number one priority for the whole trip. We visited a castle, an organic farm and a popular local swimming area with cafe. The trails were varied ( and dusty!) with bumps but throughout our guide, Francisco, was knowledgeable and engaging. If you haven't experienced any off road driving then as a 78 year old driver, I cannot recommend it enough.
Thank you Rúben, our guide who was exceptional. It is a great moment to share with your loved ones. Between sensations and discovering hidden spots, we had a wonderful 3-hour morning on a quad. We will return.
Yesterday we took a 4 bike ride with the Algarve Raiders and it was simply amazing! We love the experience. The staff was super friendly and professional from the beginning, explained everything calmly and made us always feel safe. I want to leave a special thanks to the monitor Francisco, who was extremely patient and attentive to me, at first I had some difficulty getting out with the bike from the park, even after the first explanation, and he had the sympathy to explain to me again with all the calm. From then on I felt much more comfortable. The route through the area of Paderne is spectacular, with off-road trails, beautiful landscapes and a lot of adrenaline mixed. One of the highlights was the stop in the middle of the walk, next to a kind of “laguna” a quiet and perfect place to relax a little, take photos and enjoy nature. The whole experience was very well organized. It was a perfect combination of fun and adventure. We recommend 100%! No doubt an experience to repeat in other options that exists in the Algarve Raiders. Thank you to the Algarve Raiders team for this amazing day!
