Norm was a great narrator. He definitely knows the history of Victoria and also made it fun. We sat on the top of the bus which had great views. Just bring a jacket if weather is going to be cold.

We enjoyed it fully. The bus was clean and well cared for. We were able to get on and off all over town. Our driver was informative and had lots of history in his talking.

The trip gives an overview of the central area of Victoria. We went on the bus twice once on a complete tour. The guide/driver on that trip was excellent, truly informative. The second trip was different. The driver used a recording as the narration and it was much less informative than the first driver. And finally as we got off at what was supposed to be the market square the driver got mad because he dropped us off at the wrong place and ushered us off the bus with some garbled instructions. I don’t know the drivers name but the good one was originally from Ontario. But I feel the cost was far too high for a 90 minute journey.

Tour is a good way to see the city. There over a dozen stops available to get off the bus and tour. Beginning of the tour is at the Empress Hotel. You should visit the hotel.

Our guide, Bruno, was talking non stop. He shared a lot of good information about the city, but would also share personal information that was non-relevant. There was NO BREAKS in his talking tone. (Not sure how he did that the whole hour and a half tour, but he did). Multiple times he would chastise the group. “NO TALKING.” “I CANT TALK WHEN YOURE TALKING” he yelled over the speaker when we didn’t see anyone talking. It made it very uncomfortable. We were scared to talk at all. It made us not want to take this tour ever again.

Excellent way to see all the sights in a short time, You see all the sights and learn all about the city,

The tour takes around 90 mins to complete. Goes into different areas of Victoria. Nothing overly inspiring to be honest. Seeing houses were the rich live is not really that interesting. What made the tour worse was the constant silly commentary by the driver who mentioned everything that happened in front of him. Also where his mum is buried. A recorded commentary would be better. With the option to listen or not.

A Sunday morning in September with beautiful weather and a very experienced tour guide. Revisited several sights that looked inviting and got the general layout of the city. Loved sitting on the top level and breathing in the ocean air. A little pricey but well worth it and it was not busy on Sunday morning.

This is not intended for people arriving on a cruise ship that’s docking around 3:00 pm. The title “24 Hour Hop On and Off” is misleading. We arrived at the check-in spot around 4:40 and were told to go to another stop to meet the bus because their last bus left at 5:30. We were not able to hop on and off because there was no bus to pick us up if we wanted to get off and explore a stop.

They picked us up at the cruise terminal which was great but who knew once you got on the bus you were not able to "hop off" at any stops. We wanted to get off at Beacon Hill Park but the bus basically pulled over for 1 second then kept right on going. It was like this for each "stop" until the bus broke down. My husband went down to the driver and asked if he was going to announce the stops and the driver responded, yes I announce each stop then you can get off. So he comes back up and lets the people around us know. We were now at Craigdarroch Castle... again the driver pulls over for a second then keeps going. A lot of people wanted to get off at this stop and again no stopping to let anyone hop off. Another person went down to talk to the driver and he then replied... "well we picked you up in the middle of the tour map so we need to go back to the start then we'll let you off once the tour begins again after a 30 minute break" (which is completely different than what my husband was told). The driver kept talking about housing prices in the area and how its expensive to live in Victoria. We felt like hostages at this point and this guy just wanted a captive audience. Finally, the bus broke down 10 minutes from the 1st stop so we all had a choice... walk to the first stop or wait for another bus. Well majority of us all walked off the bus and walked to The Empress Hotel stop where I immediately requested for a refund since I did not like being held hostage on a bus that said you could hop on or hop off. The manager that approved my refund said that the bus that I was on didn't even report that his bus broke down! I wouldn't recommend this tour for anyone until you don't want to get off the bus at all, you are better off picking the places you want to go and using uber or a taxi to get there.
