Our tour guide was so nice and knowledgeable but it was too hot to do this tout this time of year. Very interesting, however.

The Venice Biennale is always a must for those who love contemporary art. This year the choice of national pavilions is very interesting. Overall a nice visit.

The Architecture Biennale 2023. Sustainability. I will never tire of recommending a visit to the Venice Biennale, be it Visual Arts (even years), or Architecture (odd years, like the current one). Both allow you to visit an urban sector that is usually not accessible. I am thinking in particular of the gardens of the same name, and landmark pavilions, and the Arsenal, 'the largest shipbuilding factory in the ancient world'. Testimonials, among other things, of a unique civil and political history perhaps not only in Italy but in the Western world (whose surprising modernity is explained prodigiously by historian Pieralvise Zorzi in his recent essay: 'The Unscrupulous History of Venice'. To read). The 2023 exhibition is a happy laboratory for the landscape, its memory, its\n future (climate change included). Center of gravity: the African continent. And the inclusive fluidity of a sustainable and ecosystem-friendly design (it reminded me of the happy season of Neorealism in Italian post-World War II Architecture, the primitive essentiality of architect and urban planner Heinrich Tessenow and the Ecological Timeline of landscape designer Ian L. McHarg ...). Must see the pavilion\installation of Ukraine and the central pavilion (the latter for the overall narrative).

The biennial is almost a must for art lovers and beyond! It is always an experience to walk between the various pavilions and the arsenal.

Finally a particularly important edition and quite readable even by those less close to the world of contemporary art. Suggestive and well set up, the curator is very good and the presence of many female artists offers that extra gear well perceptible to frequent visitors of this Italian excellence.

The experience is magnificent. It's impactful and upsetting at times. The excitement of being able to walk around after two years of restrictions is great. The only sore point is that rather questionable characters, such as Professor Sgarbi, wander around the pavilions without a mask, mocking those who take all the precautions to allow everyone to enjoy this experience. Among other things, he was joined on his tour by a bodyguard who abruptly pushed away any person who dares to invite the character in question to respect the rules. The rules APPLY TO EVERYONE.

Great experience for the first Biennale Venezia after the pandemic. Despite the title architecture there is a lot of art. Very informative guide, great experience!
