The transfer time for us was 3 hours from Hanoi and we couldn’t sit together on the coach which was a little disappointing. There are lots of boats departing from this marina so it does feel a little chaotic and there is quite a lengthy wait in the reception area before we were escorted to our boat (same upon the return too). our boat seemed to be much better condition than a lot of boats around us , and was very nicely decked out inside. We had great room at the front of the boat with a very comfortable bed and small balcony which was nice to sit out and see the other boats and amazing scenery. The staff are really friendly, William was extremely helpful and we particularly enjoyed his morning Tai Chi sessions. The Itinerary wasn't very clear on the second day as we were the only couple staying for 3 nights during our trip and needed some explaining but we got there in the end with Williams help. The food onboard is extremely good for both Breakfast and Evening Meal, with complimentary snacks available during happy hour which was a nice touch. The evenings aren’t to everyone’s taste as there are lots of boats in the same area and they all like Karaoke which is great if you can sing but sadly no-one could on our trip. We would definitely recommend this trip but its worth noting its a 3 hour transfer from Hanoi so the 2 night cruise is the better option to give you relax time on the boat otherwise you will have very limited time on the boat and don’t expect to be the only boat in the area either – there a lots of boats !!!
My daughter and I went on this cruise. We had a nice room that had a lot of windows and great views. Our guide, Lam, took us to a cave the first day and a small island the following day. He took pictures of the passengers, which was nice. I lowered my rating to a three because our Guide did not consider people that could not hear anything he was saying because we were seated next to the engine. Once we boarded the cruise ship, he did not wait for everybody to be in the room to give information. I had to ask him what information was given, and the response he gave was extremely poor. He rolled his eyes and he sighed acting annoyed at me asking him anything. This is not the behavior I want when we are paying good money to go on this cruise. Nobody should be treated that way. I also wrote this on the review that was given at the end of the cruise. The other detail was that my daughter was given plain boiled potatoes for one of her meals because she eats gluten-free. It seemed clear that they were not prepared for her dietary restrictions.
