Lovely experience! Beautiful Ha Long bay with our guide Lily that was well prepared and professional. The negative aspect were: the room since it was smaller (the boat was different than the one in the pictures) and the water (it’s possible to swim only in 1 bay so everyone goes there and it’s overcrowded and dirty). Unluckily in the bay was full of boats since it’s the high season!

Me and my girlfriend done a 1 night stay on the Athena cruise and it was perfect. We had the royal suite which was insane. There is small trips off the boat which is optional you can stay on the boat if you want, which i think is a good concept. It wasn’t too busy, just the right amount of people for it to seem private still but not empty. We was included with 2 free meals on both days which were all very good. Especially the dinner. Felt like true fine dining. The staff were also amazing, each one of them. Especially Lilly she even helped us catch a squid lol. There is genuinely nothing negative i have to say about the cruise.

We had an amazing family experience from start to finish. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the food was absolutely delicious. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and made the trip so interesting. A special mention goes to the cruise manager, Hai, who went above and beyond to help when my partner accidentally left his phone on a coach — he assisted in getting it back and was wonderful throughout the entire journey. Hai also engaged so kindly with our children, making the whole experience even more memorable. We truly made memories that will last a lifetime!
It was such a fun experience. The food was amazing and the views were stunning. It was high season so there were a lot of people from all the different cruise lines, but it was still worth it. All of the staff members were so kind and helpful. The only part that was a bit uncomfortable were the beds, but overall still a very worthwhile trip to go on!
Great cruise and service. Everyone was friendly, especially Kelvin. The rooms were clean, food was good, and service was friendly. We enjoyed Halong Bay as a family of 5, two seniors and three adult children. Don’t hesistate to book with Athena, we had a great time.
