We went on tours to Suzhou and Hangzhou and both were amazing. Our guide in Suzhou, John, was knowledgeable and he explained in detail the history of the places we visited. David, our guide in Hangzhou, was similarly knowledgeable and we spent an enjoyable day with him, Both guides were attentive to our needs and ensured that we were well taken care of. We highly recommend Catherine Lu tours and this is our second time travelling with them. Will do so again when we next visit China

Shanghai is a busy metropolitan city with beautiful pockets of history hidden in the skyscrapers and financial district. It was rainy and cold my first day but that just make touring Old Town and the Yuyang garden more atmospheric. The temples were beautiful and so peaceful even with all the people. I loved the soup dumplings and the street food in the water town. I cannot speak enough to how amazing my tour guide, Cathy, was. I got sick the first day and she was so attentive in making sure I was ok. When I go back to China in 2029 I will definitely use them again.

The whole tour was excellent. The itinerary was so well thought out and made the most of our time. Kathy was amazing and full of energy and knowledge. The driver was prompt and efficient and really helped make things run smoothly. The vehicle was comfortable and clean with lots of water and tissues available. I would not hesitant to book again with this company and highly recommend Kathy as a tour guide. We did three days and while we still didn't fit everything in we did see a lot. Loved everything but one of the highlights was visiting water town and would suggest to add this as a must do. Also the Jade Buddha temple and the museum were amazing. Kathy also gave us great tips for lunch and made sure we didnt miss any local specialities. Highly recommended.

We had the best 48 hrs in Shanghai bu taking this 2 day tour which covered all the major highlights in Shanghai. Our tour guide Kathy was brilliant, very cordial and helpful. We felt very welcome, no site seeing venue seemed rushed and all our special requests with respect to food and timing was met. I would highly recommend taking this tour if you have 2 days to spend in Shanghai.

Catherine Lu is a very professional agency and Catherine herself is conscientious. Our guide Henry had 20 years experience; knows history and excellent English. The driver was careful and respected. Our family of 5 had a private 2 day tour. Everything was well planned.

Excellent, we did a private tour with 3 Couples. the Enterprise is very efficient, the Enterprise did up more than was promised, you can trust everything she promises. we were delighted with the service.

This tour arranged through Catherine Lu Tours is exceptional! I had previously used Catherine’s services for tours in Xi’an and Beijing. Those tours were fantastic as well. Catherine hires only experienced tour guides to provide the best experience for tourists. Our guide for these two days was Cathy; she is a personable guide and made our two days fly by. The first day was spent in Suzhou. We learned a lot of information from Cathy on the 1 1/2 hour drive from our hotel in Shanghai. The tour stops were all very interesting: the silk factory taught us a lot about the silkworm and how silk strands are made into thread. and we really enjoyed the boat ride through Watertown. The second day was a tour through old Shanghai. We started at the Temple of the Jade Buddha and ended our day at the French Concession. One highlight of this day was going to the top of the Shanghai Tower. The views of the city from this vantage point are spectacular.

Our family had a great time at Hangzhou for 3 days with guide Rebecca. She was always punctual, friendly, and flexible to adjust the plans according to our group dynamics. She is a natural people person and knew our individual preferences by the end of day 1. She also took the initiative to bring us to some of the best restaurants and food on our 2 week long trip, and even helped us to look for seats for our big group at a cheap and good restaurant (she could have easily brought us to a more pricey one without queue, but she truly wanted the best for us). She looked after our whole group of 8 people from 1 to 70 years old, and we managed to visit the West Lake, former residence of Hu Xueyan, Song City, Hefang Street, Lingyin Temple & Flying Peak with many stories from her. we couldn’t be more thankful for her and cannot recommend her enough. The tour was perfect in one word. It was easy to organize and communicate online. If you don't have an idea, they will put together a complete tour, but they will also fulfill extra requests, so you can see the sights you want. Ruby the tour guide was very engaging, knowledgeable and kind, a true professional. 😇 During the tour, everything went exactly as described and discussed earlier. The car and tour guide were always waiting for us at the agreed time. We received a lot of information that we would not have received in case of an independent organization. The drivers were also nice, the cars were clean. The program they put together allows you to see many more sights in less time than if you organized it yourself. They are not in a hurry, they take time for everything. It was a high-quality tour that met all our needs, for which we thank you very much! I highly recommend it to everyone!
