Wonderful and informative tour! Elizabeth is a great guide! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!
WARNING: This excursion entails 10,000+ steps! The content is incredible but our interpretation of the description wasn’t we would “park the van and walk to all the attractions until finished”. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable but regurgitated so much information, most of the group stopped listening early in the tour. Bottom line, great tour, but if you don’t want to walk 5 miles, look elsewhere.
We regret to hear that the tour did not fully meet your expectations. Please allow us to briefly address the concerns raised: 1. The tour description and additional information clearly state that this tour involves a significant amount of walking and is not recommended for guests with limited mobility—such as yourself. 2. Unfortunately, due to local regulations and traffic restrictions, vehicles are not permitted to stop directly at major landmarks such as the basilica, fountain, and other iconic sites. This is why all Rome tours—ours included—require a bit of legwork. 3. Thank you for your kind words about the guide’s knowledge. However, we kindly ask that you refrain from commenting on your fellow group members, who were not only listening attentively but have also sent us very positive feedback—clearly enjoying both the tour and the company. When booking activities through Viator, we recommend basing expectations on the official tour description, itinerary, and inclusions rather than personal assumptions. Safe travels!
This was a great tour and covered the main places we wanted to visit in a short time. Our guide was great and willing to adapt things so that we made the most of our time in Rome and got back to our ship in good time. The pick up was on time too and clear instructions given on meeting place. Thank you.
Fantastic tour with Eliza as our guide. Our driver picked us up right from the ship and we were promptly on our way. We never felt rushed and our guide was so knowledgeable and fun. They picked a great place for us to eat and got us back to our ship with time to spare. Highly recommend them.
Vehicle had no air...driver said it was not him but the company. The air conditioner vents were cut out nothing .. I have a picture..our driver was no help he could not speak English. When we got to Rome our 2 tour guides we excellent highly recommend but for a deluxe Rome trip I accepted more for $400. I would not recommended because you do all the walking yourself.. now we know .. we could have taken a bus round trip for 50 euros and got tour guides..might want to think about doing that

Regarding your comment that the “vehicle had no air”: you mention that the driver said it was “not him but the company,” and then also that “our driver was no help, he could not speak English.” That does sound a bit puzzling unless you speak French 😊 but even if you do, you didn’t get the driver right, as our fleet is modern and regularly maintained, and your feedback was the only one of its kind received from the entire group. Please also note that driving through crowded suburbs and city streets with the air conditioning fully on may not always feel the same as cruising along a highway back home. Safe travels!

Amazing tour !!! Our Tour guide Elizabeth was brilliant !!! Very knowledgeable and entertaining. Definitely went the extra mile. “In Rome - if a photo is not instagramable it’s not worth taking “ lol! Timely return to the ship .
The sites and history during the tour were amazing! Tour guide gave us each one headphone and an audio box, so we could all hear her speak clearly (NOT a recording). This tour requires A LOT of walking. Tour guides will likely walk at a decent pace, so might not be great for those who have trouble getting around. We walked about 4.5 miles throughout the day. Also reminder: this tour does NOT go into the Colosseum. We only stopped for 5 minutes to take a photo. It was a little confusing at first because the man we met led us to the bus, we got on, and then he didn’t say anything for the hour ride to the Vatican. Once we arrived, another tour guide met us who officially led the group, but we didn’t really understand what was going on at first. But overall we really enjoyed the tour and the guides were very kind and knowledgeable!
Each and everything went smooth, without any hurdles. It was just like the tour that we were looking for. Plus the interaction between different people from your group can get you extra value.
The team knew the best times to visit certain spots and little shortcuts to avoid the worst of it. Honestly without them, I think we would have spent half our day just stuck in lines.
