Was unable to go because they told me they would get back to shore at 4:30 pm which only allowed me half and hour to get back to ship. NO options for transportation other than calling a cab which I had no idea how long it would take and the fact we were 15-20 miles from the ship. Should get a refund. Brad Thomas

I don’t know where to start. They charged my card for three people, confirmed the dive, and then contacted me the day before to say it had been overbooked and asked me to cancel. The cancellation process was equally frustrating. You can’t cancel online on the day of the dive, so if you want your money back, you’re forced to call and spend a significant amount of time trying to resolve an issue that was entirely their fault. This wasn’t just an inconvenience. We had already purchased ferry tickets, pre-booked taxis, and reserved a beach club for eight people, all centered around this dive experience. It was supposed to be a surprise Father’s Day gift, and the last-minute cancellation ruined those plans. Overall, a terrible customer experience. Poor communication, overbooking, and a burdensome refund process. I would highly NOT recommend.

I recently got back from a dive trip with friends. We used Pro Dive Cozumel for a 5 day dive trip, and the entire experience was perfect! I got certified while I was there and could not have been in better hands with Caro and Luisa. They were both incredibly kind, patient, and so fun! The dives were incredible, and I felt completely safe as a new diver even though my friends were more experienced. Caro, Luisa, and the entire Pro Dive team were so helpful, kind, and I would highly recommend this team to anyone else!

The dives themselves were spectacular. The check in and timeliness of going on the dives were disjointed and not very professional. I had to get how things were scheduled from another diver who was staying at the resort. I arrived on a cruise ship and booked based on reviews. I would not book again with them based on the surface experience. Bust as noted, what I saw was awesome.

I'm going to start by stating that the diving is AMAZING. That is a compliment to the ocean and to the people running the marine park, who are able to preserve these amazing sites despite heavy tourism. I loved their guides Luisa and Ara. They are very professional and a pleasure to dive with. Luisa does such a good job at showing EVERYONE marine life and makes a clear effort to ensure all of us have had the chance to see something interesting. Ara is very good at keeping the group together in current. Marcelo works so hard, helped us in and out of the water, and was amazing. The guys taking care of the gear at the shop, great and on time every day. Ivan the dive guide really needs to work on his social skills. He stood beside me for 30 min before introducing himself to let me know he was my guide. He did not even attempt to help a customer who has having difficulty going down. Just budha-posed at 10 m, arms crossed, waiting for her to sort herself out... And I do get that we're all certified vaccinated divers, but darn, I was about to go help her out. He just couldn't be bothered. He also was often so far ahead of everybody, mind you, in current, that, although I could see him ahead, I could barely see the people behind me, which means that he can barely see the end of his group. Again, certified vaccinated divers, but .... damn.... make an effort. It's too bad, because he is a great diver. The shop is busy, and runs on average 4 teams of divers (5-8) with one dive guide each, out of 2 boats. 2 tank dives, am and pm. In between, you come back, you have 30-45 min for lunch, and you have to be dry by the time you walk into the restaurant. This schedule is very well organized, and booked to the teeth. Pay attention to the board, as the boats and guides change sometimes in the afternoon. They share equipment and clients with the nearby Occidental and Dreams hotels. Other hotels may need to arrange their own transportation and bring a lunch, as the shop does not have access to the hotel buffet. If you're benched (ie the port is closed due to weather) and you dives are cancelled, one person may have a chance to be rebooked, but they may not have room to rebook a group. The vouchers you get are valid for 3 years. The port closes when the wind is coming from the north, so pay attention on wind finder, not to the speed or wave sizes, but to the direction of the wind. This will give you a better idea on whether you're going out or not. The reports come in at 8, 10-11, and noon. If your morning is cancelled at 8 am, still come back at 10-1045, as we did do a single dive before noon one day. I found the front desk to be 6/10 friendly and reliable. You have to be very aware and double triple check, as no one will reach out to let you know what is going on. So come back to the shop and confirm. Pay attention as sometimes instructions are not clear and plans can change fast. I may have been a helicopter nag, but at least I didn't miss that half day dive departure. And here is my final and most important whining rant. The Nitrox. When I booked the hotel, I booked it based on ProDive Alegro's website. My frustration is that their website, to this day, states "free nitrox for certified divers". Which is not true. It is 8 $ per nitrox tank. The shop, in response, showed me a foot note on the main ProDive website stating that they cannot offer this in Cozumel anymore; yes, there is a reason, their compressor burned down/ blew up during a major fire at the resort a few years back, so now they have to buy the nitrox, hence the fee. Apparently there was another field in the information email I was sent when I booked the package, that the nitrox is not free. I must admit, I did not see it. I was operating on the assumption it was free, based on what I had read on the Allegro Cozumel ProDive website. As a client, it is not my responsibility to look for all of the other sources of information and confirm their validity when booking the hotel. And by the time that email is sent to me, my hotel is already booked on erroneous information, that could have been easily corrected by the creators of the website. YEARS AGO WHEN THIS CHANGED. This is just poor management, and faulty customer service, as there is failure to accept at least some responsibility. Anyway, I refused to pay for nitrox, out of principle, and I hope that someday, someone, will make the same mistake as I did, and will be willing to go full Karen on the main office over this issue. My complaints led nowhere. ProDive was overall a step below my expectations. I would go so far as to say it is a rather large step below. I will use my voucher dives, but I will not return for more packages.

Very professional in the diving experience. Very gracious in flexibility on dive dates. Also tailored the dive groups so the experienced divers stayed together so not hampered by less experienced divers. Dive masters very professional and thorough in briefings and helping individuals with fine tuning weights. One trip the current was very strong and could not stop and explore the reef, using more than usual air fighting the current, I would suggest avoiding those days. Not a very good experience in the online booking, wanting repeat information from previous booking. Also the online payment system was confusing as it seems more tailored to international students. The banking payment info did not work at first, I had to request the company to reset their online bank account number. Also could not use a previous bank information from last payments. Eventually worked out but took extra time.

I had an amazing experience with Luisa and pro dive team can’t recommend her enough. From the moment I knew she would be our dive master for the day I was excited , she was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly attentive. Her understanding of diving procedures, safety, and equipment immediately put me at ease, and she has a natural way of explaining things clearly and calmly with a smile. Making sure every person not only in our group but those on board were all prepared and ready to go! What really stood out was how present and supportive she was throughout the entire dive experience. She checks in, anticipates needs, and genuinely cares about making sure everyone feels comfortable and confident in the water. Her passion for diving and the ocean is obvious, and it absolutely elevates the experience. Luisa brings a rare combination of technical skill, patience, and positive energy with every dive group. She’s the kind of dive professional you trust completely underwater and enjoy being around on the surface too. An absolute asset to any dive operation. And even better dive buddy too!

My wife and I went down for our honeymoon to do some incredible diving, not really knowing the operation we were getting involved in but also had high hopes as they are rated as a 5-star PADI center. The team was fantastic all around and we would highly recommend them as your diving professionals. That being said, we wanted to explicitly take the time to highlight their instructor Luisa Pita as their most unique and influential scuba diving professional. In our first encounter, Luisa showed up in the most excentric and colorful wetsuits and fins, which if you're a diver you understand immediately how much fun this person is going to be, and you can see them from a mile away!! Her personality and charm matched the color of her gear to perfection, making every single day/dive we experienced with her better than the last one. Luisa was on several 2-tank day dives with us and also a night dive; she dove so much that she required nitrox!! Someone who works that hard and can maintain that level of perky personality is an agency treasure because the clients/guests will always have the best time and want to come back. Luisa is super smart, attentive, and cares about the entire team she dives with. With Cozumel being known for its diving culture, and with as many operations that are already down there, we can confidently say that Luisa will be the PRIMARY factor in who we decide to dive with in the future. Where we sleep is slightly important, but who we dive with makes the memories last forever!!!

The Viator description is wrong. This dive experience actually starts at 1:00 PM. Consequently we were not able to complete both dives before our cruise ship all aboard time of 5 PM. The dive shop tried to accommodate us and were fantastic to work with. I have no complaints against them. However they have also said they tried to fix the start time with Viator and have been unable to do so. Again the people at the shop were great and the one dive we were able to go on was great. VIATOR please fix the listing!!
