I had the worst experience ever, the company cancelled my booking within hours from the pickup where i had already arrived to the country. I has a plan to spend the new years eve in Wadi Rum and my plan were ruined and i had to stay in Amman doing nothing. This was so frustrating and disappointed. I have lost my flight tickets from Aqaba to Amman because of the cancellation. I have asked for refund and compensation but no one replied to my emails. The next day I was guided by hotel for a local agency and figured out that I have paid triple of what it actually worth. Not recommended for anyone
We’re very sorry to hear about this experience, particularly given the timing around New Year’s Eve and your arrival in Jordan. As your booking was made just two days prior to the tour start date, any adjustments at that stage are, by nature, last-minute. Cancellations so close to departure are never taken lightly and typically occur only due to operational or safety constraints. That said, we understand how disruptive this was, especially with onward flights and plans already in place. We regret that you did not receive a timely follow-up regarding refunds or compensation, as all such requests should be acknowledged and addressed. Pricing for tours can vary significantly based on inclusions, dates, and availability, but we recognize that this does little to offset the frustration you experienced in the moment. Your feedback has been noted and shared internally as we continue working to improve responsiveness and contingency handling in urgent situations. — Tourist Jordan Team
I took this two‑day Petra and Wadi Rum tour and enjoyed every part of it. The first morning felt like a short Aqaba city walk — we spent about an hour exploring the town and finished with an optional, paid glass‑bottom boat trip to see coral reefs and a sunken plane. In Wadi Rum we joined a jeep tour and were awed by the vast scale of the desert and the dramatic rock formations. That night there was an optional star‑gazing session using a proper telescope, and the next morning we took an optional camel ride to watch the sunrise. Petra was the highlight: the natural Siq and the rock‑cut architecture are truly magnificent. Since we only had one day in Petra, reaching The Monastery would have been difficult, but we had plenty of time to see the famous Treasury and explore around Qasr al‑Bint. Well paced and full of unforgettable moments — highly recommended.
We’re so glad your 2 Day Petra and Wadi Rum tour left such a strong impression. The balance of guided structure and optional experiences is central to how Tourist Jordan itineraries are designed, so it’s great to hear it worked well for you. Thanks for the recommendation. We hope you will travel with us again soon!
Even though we stayed in Aqaba we were first brought from the hotel to the Jordan/Israeli border. There we have to wait for more than an hour in the bus for the guests coming from Israel. It would have been much better if we would have been picked up in Aqaba. Guests from Aqaba should also have the choice of joining the group at the time of departure to Wadi Rum. Spending almost 4 hours in Aqaba is way too much, especially when you stay there. I understand you want to earn extra money with the boat/snorkel tour that was offered but please be transparent about it. We also found that the bus stopped too often and too long at different bazaars along the Route from Wadi Rum and Petra and back. Lastly, please review the itineraries you have on your web page. There are two and they are different both in timings and activities. Otherwise the tour was fantastic and is a must if you spend time in this part of the world.
Everything was well planned and my family had a blast. Traveled with my wife and two daughters, both in their early 20’s.
Avoid this company!! They don’t pick you up at least you call several times the driver (roaming costs). Then, they take you to the Israel border only to come back to Aqaba later. They don’t follow the program and they take you to a fancy restaurant where you are obliged to pay 20 dinars (in cash =black) for a lunch that you have not asked for. They made me pay 240 dinares for un updgrade in the dessert when the real price was 80!!!! The hotel in Petra doesn’t correspond to the description either. You are kidnapped in a very dirty hotel far from everywhere and you can’t go out as it is in the middle of a noisy route outside the city (you have the impression of sleeping in the streets). Any other option will be better than this company!!!
The Wadi Rum-Petra tour was much more amazing that we have expected. I really recommend everyone to take part of it. Special thanks to Methkal, our guide and Hussein the bus driver.
The tour was amazing. The guides helped us to cross the border in two ways and the Bedouin Camp was really good, with comfortable cabanas and good food. Recommended!
I’ve been traveling by myself but so glad that I’ve booked the tour and experienced this in a group. Day 1 with the jeep safari, desert camp was just a new way experiencing camping. Day 2 in Petra was better than Ive expected. We had a tour with the guide but also would have the option to go by ourselves and explore. On both days, our guide Kareem was always helpful, giving tips and helping me to book a day 2 in Petra and took care that everyone is around, feeling ok! The only downside was that I was in Aqaba and not picked up from my hotel, but then was brought close to the border where everyone joined and we went back to Aqaba to spend some time there and have lunch. Would recommend the tour :)
I booked this tour for my daughter and her friends from semester at sea and Kareem was their tour guide. She had nothing but wonderful things to say about the tour and the guide and rank this as one of her top destinations on her world tour.
Meeting time was at 9am-we got there and the driver said we have to wait until 2pm to leave Aqaba because the majority of the tour was from Israel and they were being picked up at the Israeli border. They were then giving them two hours of free time in Aqaba. We were very disappointed that this was not communicated, and they had no clue we were coming through viator until the night before as I was frantically texting anyone from the company I could find to confirm a pickup time and location. This tour was supposed to be from Aqaba, but I’m assuming on its main website it is advertised as “from Israel, to Aqaba.” The rest of the experience was amazing, Methgal was the best and found sandboards for us and a hot air balloon connection if we wanted. We just wish the title and itinerary reflected those wasted hours on the first day. Would still recommend, just know what you’re getting yourself into!
