Our original plan was to stop on the way from Vienna to Prague in Brno and Kutna Hora. Unfortunately Brno city center was flooded and the Tugandhat Villa was closed for maintenance. We had better luck at Kutna Hora and were able to visit both the cathedral and Bone Church, although heavy rain limited the time we could walk around the town. The restaurant our driver Radek recommended was excellent, very tasty traditional Czech dishes and beers. We arrived in Prague, which fortunately was spared the worst of the flooding-thanks to a great job by Radek in getting us there safely and in comfort, despite the atrocious weather.
Hi, Anthony! Thank you for sharing such a detailed account of your journey! We’re sorry to hear that the weather affected your plans in Brno, but we’re glad you were able to enjoy Kutna Hora, including the cathedral and Bone Church. It’s wonderful to know that Radek’s recommendation for the restaurant was a hit, and that he ensured a safe and comfortable drive to Prague despite the challenging conditions. We truly appreciate your understanding and are happy that the flooding didn’t affect your time in Prague. We look forward to welcoming you again on future travels!
