Absolutely wonderful tour! Maria is charming , knowledgeable and fun. She does an amazing job keeping you interested and comfortable. Worth every penny! You can understand the town if Lucca so much better seeing it from her carriage! Thank to both Maria and her sweet horse Luigi!

I wish I could give Marika more than 5 stars. We have been traveling in Italy for almost 2 weeks and have done tours in each city. This was by far the best one! She was prompt picking us up, and was very responsive with messaging ahead of time. She clearly knows every nook and cranny of Lucca and loves this place. As we rode in the carriage with Mario (the horse) at the helm, townspeople would call out friendly greetings to her, which made Lucca even more magical - like a small village. The history was very interesting as well. We are English speakers, and Marika’s English was excellent and was able to answer all of our questions. She was charming, funny, and made us fall in love with Lucca. We will definitely be back! One more note— where we are from in the USA, horses are not always treated well (like NYC carriage rides), please know that Marika’s horses are very well loved and live outside the walled city where they can just be horses in a farm setting.. She is clearly very careful about their safety and happiness, so if you are worried at all about this, please don’t be. They are well loved.

Best experience ever! Luigi and Marika were amazing! So educated on the city. Very friendly. Beautiful person inside and out. She truly cares about her customers experience. A must do! Highly recommended. 5 stars!

This was my favorite tour in a month of travels from Amsterdam to Rome. Marika and Mario are such a great team and obviously well-loved members of their town. Marika takes great care of her horses, is energetic, entertaining, and really loves what she does - it shows! Do not pass up the opportunity to experience Lucca via this horse drawn carriage tour. This is truly the best of the best - WELL DONE!

It was worth every penny!!! Our tour guide just didn't drive us around on a carriage, she told every little bit of history about Lucca, pointing out all the interesting facts. One of my favorites is that Lucca at one point had over 100 churches! Bottom line, the guide was great, her horse was a star to the people, it was very enjoyable.

Nice afternoon. Weather turned halfway through, the host was kind and accommodated with a poncho. Learned city history.

This was a really great way to experience Lucca! Our tour guide, Marika was amazing. She was genuinely passionate about the history of this lovely town and shared knowledge beyond what we would have been able to gather without such a great guide. Mario was also a star guiding us in the cart thru the streets and happily doing so for some praise and carrots 😊 Would highly recommend for anyone wanting to both acclimate themselves to Lucca as well as get some deep history and wonderful food recommendations!

This was an excellent tour of Lucca's history and historic sites, plus a complete ride around the Lucca city wall. Do not forget to bring carrots for Mario.
