One of my worst travel experience ever… The tour wasn’t as promised: the boat was an old boat (not like the one in the picture), the guide was only showing the big hotels (like the Hilton) with no info about the local monument, he nearly forced us to « dance » so we « could have fun » and give him a nice tip.
The 2 hour “sunset” boat ride lasted from 15:00-16:30, so that’s poor advertising on both fronts as the boat was only an hour and a half, and in the middle of the day. I would have also expected the boat to go up or down the Nile so that we could look at the buildings, but the driver only did about 10 big circles right infront of the marina and called it a day. The boat captain also smoked cigarettes the entire time, which was not pleasant to smell. I wouldn’t recommend doing this. Not to say the boat ride itself wasn’t good, it was, I just expected more from this for the price.

The driver was waiting for me in the designated area with my name on a card held up. Helped me with my heavy lugages. The journey was untroubled and smooth. I was picked up from the hotel on time, and again, it was a smooth journey to the airport.
