We had a very nice tour with Sander. Bad weather was forecast and Sander contacted us in advance for consultation. Very careful of him Sander has a lot of knowledge of the origins of Amsterdam and the origins of the ramparts. It was nice to walk with Sander across the red light district. He explained a lot and knew all the hotspots, which we as tourists would certainly have missed. It is the only tour offered in the evening and that makes the experience more intense. Where we might have felt uncomfortable if we had gone alone, Sander walked around there as if it were the most normal thing in the world and we felt like locals. It was a super interesting and fun tour. Really nice to experience once
My wife and I visiting from USA decided to visit Red Light district. We didn’t want simply to walk around but have a tour guy explaining the history and show us the best of the district in private tour. Sander was great. He met us on-time and spend first 30 minutes explaining the history of Amsterdam settlement in a very entertaining way. After that he explained the rules of walking by and the specifics of the profession. We walked with him in a very specific pattern, not to get locked out, and looked at all windows offering and he pointed out all live shows establishments and coffe shops. Sander is gifted professional. He might have future as museum guide or history professor. Very knowledgeable and personable. I give 5 stars and recommend this tour to everybody who is willing to be entertained.

The host completely ghosted us and did not show up. My group called, emailed, and what’s-app’s the host. Do not book this tour.
Sander was excellent! There are not other words. He was very nice and gave me all this details about the distric and answered all my questions. The area has an historical side that he transmitted wonderfully! If you come to Amsterdam you HAVE TO take this tour :)
I was curious about this private tour and booked it with a friend. I went with an open-mind and it was a surprise immersive experience of a truly iconic red light district of Amsterdam during its finest and peak hour. We learnt a lot about the history, its influence on policies and the dynamics of this integral part of Amsterdam. We didn’t expect the depth of the information offered in this tour and it was quite good. It was an interesting and informative tour.
Cool tour with lots of "historical background information" Many insights into a new world. The tour lasted about 1.5h and was just the right mix between information and impressions.
I had a friend over from Italy and he wanted to see the highlights of the city. So we booked this tour, and the guide would tell me stuff I didnt even know after living here for +10 years. And just as easily he’d switch to Italian and explain it to my friend. Gonna send all my friends here from now on if they want to see the touristic highlights.
I had a wonderful tour of Chinatown and the Red Light District! Sander was an awesome guide and was extremely knowledgeable. You will learn all the history and events that shaped this area of town. You will not be disappointed!
