Enjoyable ceremony in this gorgeous 130 year old house where we were taught how to blend matcha properly with precision. The host was really lovely, knowledgeable, patient and friendly.

Very informative, traditional, and a little funny. Every in group loved. Arrive a little early because in a house in a neighborhood.

The tea ceremony with Kaori was my favorite experience in Kyoto. Kaori is very knowledgeable about the traditions and very professional but also kind, warm and willing to answer every question. The tea house is beautiful-lovely and peaceful garden. We did it as a private session and it was magical.

The tea ceremony was exactly what I was looking forward to. The tea house itself has a lot of history and the tea room was one that you’d crawl into. The experience was authentic and we thoroughly enjoyed learning about the history of the tea ceremony and our host was wonderful.

Wonderful education on a true Japanese tea ceremony! Everything about the tea ceremony and what every step represents was explained.

Great experience. Very authentic. Private and not touristy. The 130 year old house being used as a traditional tea house is what sold us.
