Our guide was Mesi and we were first given a good tour of the food market with lots of local history and local food knowledge passed on. Then it was onto another establishment where we tried different salamis and lagosh, then it was three different types of chimney cake at another location. Then we went to a traditional sausage shop where we tried three different types of sausage and then finally to Grinzingi where we had traditional goulash soup with bread and wine finished with a ‘pancake’ style dessert.
The pace of the tour was just right and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Great intro to Hungarian culture
Take this tour if you want to learn about Hungarian culture and food! Our gude, Estzi, was phenomenal! She was helping out Flora, whom I assume was also great, but we got so much food and info about Hungary in 3 hours that I was still full the next morning! We had a great group; it's a fun way to meet new friends and stay awake.

Adam was amazing and had so much knowledge of the Hungarian food and culture and history. Everything was so good and I would highly recommend this tour!

Budapest food tour with adam
The guides were funny and informative. Great assortment of local foods and drinks. Each restaurant had specific spots for our group so we never felt crowded or rushed

Good food and commentary. Local food was delicious and the significance well explained. Especially enjoyed the Central Market Hall.

Hungarian Home Cooking
My wife and I had a wonderful experience with Eszter on our morning market tour and cooking class. Eszter was informative, funny. and a great ambassador for Budapest. The food was very good and we will be able to replicate at home.

Budapest Culinary Scene
Our tour began at the Market Hall where we were guided trough by Flora for an overview of Hungarian cuisine including a brief history of the famous Hungarian Paprika. We had our first tasting at the market in the pickle section. We went on to several more stops including cheese and sausage ending with a lovely lunch of goulash soup and wine. You learn so much about a country through its traditional foods and this tour did not disappoint.
