What a great way to see all of the key historic sites in a day! Masa was funny and very positive. We navigated buses, subways, and trains in our small group. No way we could have done this on our own. The group was small so we were able to navigate easily. It is a long day w 20k steps so be prepared but no better way to cover everything and decide to go back if you want to later.
We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Walking and travelling seamlessly through Kyoto, we reached each location effortlessly. Meg, our fantastic tour guide, provided invaluable insights and expertly explained each sightseeing spot. Time seemed to fly by and we never felt bored. Our highlights were the lotus blossoms at Ryoan-Ji Temple and the breathtaking views from Kiyomizu Temple after conquering the hill. We highly recommend this tour.
I wanted to see all the major sights in one day since I was traveling eith my mom who is in a wheelchair. Unfortunately, many of the top sights were not accessible, so I decided a tour would be the best option to see it all in a day. This was an incredible tour! Megumi was an excellent tour guide. She was so knowledgeable, interesting and a lovely person. She had answers to every question and adjusted the tour to our interests. This was the highlight of my trip! Yes it's a lot of walking, but that is the best way to see everything! This was so much better than a bus tour with too many people - this is a small group and more like s private tour. Thank you for the memories Megumi!

As someone who has traveled to 68 countries and worked with countless tour companies, I can confidently say my experience with Beautiful Tours in Japan was the worst I’ve ever had. The communication was consistently unprofessional and shockingly inflexible. Every interaction left me questioning whether they even had the basic standards one would expect from a reliable tour operator. A company that operates this way is simply not one to be trusted. If you’re considering a trip to Japan, I urge you to choose another provider to avoid the disappointment and frustration I experienced. Book elsewhere—this company is not worth the risk.
Memorable day in Kyoto with Megumi our guide. She was knowledgeable, polite and a good communicator. This was my first time in Kyoto and I totally recommend it.
My wife and I only have 3 days in Kyoto and opted for this tour because of the effort planning would otherwise take. Our guide, Masako, was an absolutely delightful, funny and extremely knowledgeable lady who combined her knowledge of Kyoto history with her charming sense of humour and kept us engaged throughout. The tour has a fair amount of walking, which can get uncomfortable in the Japan summer. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and pack an umbrella. Otherwise, you can’t beat the convenience and planning that goes into taking this tour. Thank you in particular to Masako, an absolute sweetheart of a tour leader.
Megumi is a very good tour guide. She engaged me and my family very well. She is very informative and explained things very well. I would highly recommend this tour to all my friends and family.
Our tour guide Meg was fantastic. She was so knowledgeable and friendly and made this tour one of the best I have been on. We were travelling with teenage boys and even they loved it. Truly a great experience and I would highly recommend.
