The trip was super fun. Shan was very kind and showed us a lot. I learned a lot from this because he could tell us a lot. Very nice guy! He is a good driver and listens to our wishes, and he knows the best restaurants. He has made it an unforgettable journey for us. He also recorded all this because he has a passion for photography. He is a nature lover so we have seen many animals.

We grant every Sri Lanka tourist, Shan. And believe me, I also read reviews before and thought yeah wright…. Let's see first. But for this man I dare to put my hands in the fire: he is guaranteed to offer you a great experience With its quiet and safe driving style, you can travel relaxed through beautiful Sri Lanka. His car is clean and tidy. He knows not only the well-known highlights, but above all the hidden gems that you would never discover yourself. Both culinary, but also cultural and also the natural pearls. From idyllic viewpoints to authentic villages and special local experiences: he shows you the real Sri Lanka. He likes to go on an adventure with you and doesn't just drop you off at a location. His keen eye for nature makes every safari or ride extra special. Where others pass by, he effortlessly spots elephants, leopards, birds and other wild animals. His passion for nature and his knowledge of the country create unique moments time and time again. Did we mention that he also takes the most beautiful photos and videos? And that he helps you with all the love and pleasure? What really sets him apart is his feeling for his guests. His nice and smooth relationship with our two daughters aged 11 and 14. A short list of a few special things we did: tea-safari, nail- and henna time for the girls, exploring new waterfall, dolphin-watching, climbing Little Adams Peak, zipline, mangrove boat trip, visit Kauhulla for the elephants and also the most famous highlights offcourse. With his hospitality, professionalism and warm personality, he is much more than a guide or driver. He is a true ambassador of Sri Lanka and a calling card for the country. Thanks to him, you will not only experience a wonderful journey, but you will also take unforgettable memories home with you. And believe us, this man and his passion for his profession and country encloses everyone in his heart. At least we do. We really recommend him to everyone. We had the pleasure of travelling with Shan for 10 days around Sri Lanka as a family with two children (aged 9 and 12), and we couldn’t have asked for a better driver and guide. From the very beginning, Shan was kind, caring, friendly, and incredibly professional. He has a great sense of humour, making even the longer drives enjoyable, and he always made our family feel well looked after. One of Shan’s standout talents is his incredible ability to spot wildlife, especially birds. Our 9-year-old absolutely loved this, and Shan’s enthusiasm and knowledge made every drive feel like a mini safari. He was genuinely excited to share what he found with us. Shan was always honest, reliable, and enthusiastic. His car was immaculate every single day, and we always felt completely safe with his careful driving. He struck the perfect balance between being friendly and engaging in conversation while also recognising when we wanted some quiet family time, which we really appreciated. Throughout our trip, Shan shared fascinating insights into Sri Lankan culture, customs, and daily life, adding so much depth to our experience beyond the beautiful scenery. We wholeheartedly recommend Shan to anyone visiting Sri Lanka. He played a huge part in making our holiday unforgettable, and we wouldn’t hesitate to travel with him again.

We were incredibly lucky to find Shan from Amazing Sunshine Holidays for our trip through Sri Lanka. He turned this trip into an incredible experience by organising absolutely everything and helping us have some unforgettable moments. My highlights were the many wildlife sightings, including the rhino-horned lizard we spotted in the wild and the leopard that ran across the road right in front of us. Shan is also a very good driver who always got us through the busy traffic safely. Last but not least, it’s worth mentioning that the price for this wonderful trip was truly outstanding.

We had an incredible 12-day journey in Sri Lanka organized by Amazing Sunshine Holidays. Everything was perfectly arranged from start to finish and we didn’t have to worry about a thing! Our driver, Anu, was absolutely fantastic. He was always on time, greeted us every morning with a smile, and made sure we were comfortable with fresh water and air conditioning in the car throughout the trip. He went above and beyond to make our travel experience smooth and enjoyable, driving us safely to every destination and sharing local tips along the way. The itinerary included a great mix of safaris, temples, museums, and even hidden local gems that gave us a true taste of Sri Lankan culture and nature. We customized the 10-day Sri Lanka tour with the help of the agency to minimize travel and allow us to see all the attractions we had in mind before departure. They have always been very open to plan variations (even when the tour has started) and have provided us with a lot of information to avoid “tourist scams”. Compared to organizing the trip ourselves, we found very comfortable the versatility of a driver able to support us in our requests, who would advise us on the spot the best attractions and who would explain the traditions of the people (including culinary). I highly recommend it!

There is no words to recommend Shan as a guide, driver and an amazing person! His personality and knowledge about his beautiful country made our holiday trip even more amazing. We spent 9 days with him travelling through the half of Sri Lanka and can’t wait to see him again to explore the other half. Wish you all the best Shan and see you soon!

December 2024 Route : Colombo - Sigiriya - Kandy - Ella - Yala - Mirissa (then back to Colombo Airport). comfortable, air conditioned van. We had an amazing time in Sri Lanka with Mr Shan (Joey ;)). We were with him for 10 days, and although he was our driver, he was also a very knowledgeable tour guide. Mr Shan is easy going, easy to chat to, and we got on well with him. He has a good sense of humour and banter. He is very accommodating and nothing was too much of a bother for him. He was especially a great help on the food scene as my mum is gluten free and me and my sister are allergic to egg. He would check at the restaurants to make sure my mums food was gluten free, or egg free, for us. For anyone with food allergies, this is important and put our minds at ease! Using his local contacts, he booked our whale watching trip in Mirissa and the safaris in Yala. The safaris were a highlight of our trip and Mr Shan was a very good spotter on these safaris. As a result, we were lucky enough to see leopards, sloth bears, and lots of elephants. He would also phone ahead to our accommodation and let them know we would be checking in soon. We had a great trip around Sri Lanka. Mr Shan was an excellent driver and tour guide. He was very accommodating in being able to drop us off and pick us up at various sites, and we organised a number of wildlife safaris through Mr Shan with excellent guides. He was always fun to be with and joined us on a number of our excursions to help show us around and help spot animals and birds on our safaris. We are an Italin couple and we booked 10 days tour with Amazing Sunshine Holidays. Our driver was Shan and it was simply the goat. We started in Colombo and then go to Anuradnhapura, Sigiriya, Kandy, Nuwara Elya, Ella, Udawalawe, Yala and Sinharaja. Every day we changed location and Shan helped us to make our trip plan with lots of advices, arranging all those activities that made our journey 100% local and unforgettable. During our trip, sometimes we had some requests out of the blue and Shan always helped us to reach what we needed. We booked 4 safaris with him (Kaudulla, Uda Walawe, Yala and Bundala) and all went amazing. We got the best safari guides in town (we have seen 4 leopards in Yala!!) Shan is a true Sri Lankan guy who knows his country and will gives you all the best advice on food, accomodations and local traditions. He is so king and genuine. Shan is a fast but very safe driver. He was always on time with a smile and car was always clean. During our trip we spoke a lot with him about Sri Lanka coulture, tradition and the trip was never heavy. Just let him know what you like to do se he can manage the best for you!
