The title of the tour said “with English driver”. While our driver was a very nice man, he most certainly did NOT speak English. He was unable to tell us anything about where we went and could only text in English. Plus he was late to pick us up and then did not pick us up where I requested. Our stops were nice and we made the best of it but I will def not believe anything Viator says in the future.

Hello, You booked the service for a 7:00 AM departure, and the driver had already arrived at your hotel at 6:30 AM and informed you accordingly through messages. However, the hotel entrance does not allow vehicles to wait for a long time. Since there was approximately a 30-minute wait before your departure, the hotel staff asked the driver to move the vehicle away from the main entrance and wait further inside the property. While the driver was repositioning the car, you came downstairs, and the driver immediately informed you that he was waiting inside and came to pick you up right away. Therefore, we do not understand how this could be considered a “late pickup,” as the driver had already arrived 30 minutes earlier than your scheduled departure time. Regarding communication, the driver communicated with you in English throughout the service and did not use translation software during the trip. He was speaking directly with you and your companion in English. You also mentioned the Chureito Pagoda viewpoint twice during the trip. On both occasions, the driver clearly explained that due to the weather conditions, the famous Mount Fuji view from the pagoda area would unfortunately not be visible that day. The driver was waiting for your decision on whether you still wished to visit the location or not. However, since there was no clear confirmation from your side about whether you definitely wanted to go or preferred to skip it, the driver believed it would be better to use the time for places where you could actually enjoy sightseeing and activities more comfortably instead of spending time traveling to a viewpoint without visibility. In our industry, we always try to provide honest and realistic information to our guests rather than creating expectations that may not be possible due to weather conditions. If there had truly been a mistake on our side, we would absolutely take responsibility for it. However, in this situation, the chat records clearly show that the driver arrived early and remained in communication with you throughout the service. We kindly ask that reviews accurately reflect the actual situation, as unfair comments can seriously affect our business and our staff who genuinely tried their best to assist you. Buyer Beware of using this company. Here is our experience. Our driver arrived late. We tried to contact her but she was not able to communicate in English. We asked our hotel's guest services to contact her to try to locate her. The driver had a hard time communicating with the guest services agent in Japanese. When she arrived we realized that she speaks Mandarin Chinese. When she started driving, we noticed that she is very unsteady driving and she is not able to hold the vehicle in lane. Quite obviously, her driving was unsafe. Thismade us quite nervous. Several times I had to tell her to slow down since she was dangerously tailgating the vehicles in the front. About 10 minutes after the start of the drive, she called her boss (or someone on the phone) and described in Mandarin that she is lost and does not know where she is. (Attached, see the screenshot of her conversation with her boss). We were picked up after 9am and she was lost at 9:17am (see attachment). After her call, she drove on the wrong side of the road. Which made us quite scared. This all happened in the first 30 minutes of the ride. That's when we asked her to pull over and we left the vehicle and grabbed a taxi to complete our journey, We expect the drivers you provide to be able to drive in a safe manner and follow traffic laws and in particular, don't drive on the wrong side of the road. We expect to receive a full refund.

In the morning, you change your itinerary to go to Kamakura, and the driver is already on the highway. You change your itinerary to go to Kamakura, and then you ask the driver to take you to Tokyo, and the car is already on the highway. You don't want to pay the highway toll. You're always changing your mind. How can the driver drive?What reason do you have to ask for a refund?
